Editorial Review for Comet Tavern – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
The dark and well-worn interior attracts a broad cross-section of locals. It wouldn't be unusual to see some of the Comet's original customers (circa 1948) hanging out at the bar guzzling beer next to local 30-somethings. While they might be confused by the pinball and video games sequestered in an upstairs loft, they would likely feel at home playing pool or congregating around one of the many tables.

I really enjoy this place, but there are a couple of guys working there which have been acting in a prepotent way now its been two times.. that is really bad for such a great place... and if you ask who this is...just go there and look for the "doorguy"

Pros: the place...location

Cons: employees attitude

I once was a regular at the Comet and my best memory was when I bought somethig from a new bartener named Jason He didn't bring me the correct change and I told him the fact and he didn't agree. I said that I wouldn't bicker and ask him to ask the owner to check the books at the end of the day. Next time I was in he was tending bar and produced the correct change and I thank him. I hadn't seen him in quite some time and stop drinking and stoped going to the bars. Working swing shift I would tune into the late night show and to my amazement he was playing the drums.Hey I havn't tied one on in over twenty years and Damn I'm proud of myself. I'm sure you are too . Thanks for not giving me the treatment. The girls are beautiful and I miss all of you . Thanks for the memories. I did this over and realized "No good Grammer no good speller" sorry. To the pretty blond I'm sorry I thought you were calling me a snibling nut. It was pionted out to me what you really said. Damn I'm fool.
