Excellent place to meetup for drinks. Excellent venue for meeting up for drinks prior to going out on the town. The cozy intimate ambiance of the downstairs with lush pillowed booths makes a great place to take a date and much better for having a conversation than the upstairs scene. The club atmosphere of the upper level is great for large groups, with a DJ spinning tunes, and a large open area for dancing walled with pillowy seating. On a warm summer night, the sparkly lighted outdoor terrace is the perfect place for sipping that yummy Chocolate Bacon Martini, a house specialty.

NEVER go to this bar. my friends were walking past this bar last night when a few of the patrons standing on the sidewalk decided they ran into them. They attacked my friends and beat them very badly while the door guy claimed he didn't see anything and locked them out. no one at the club would be a witness for the police. Businesses like this should be run out of the neighborhood.

Worst bar in capitol hill. I've been to this bar several times last year, and I kind of liked the atmosphere, food, drinks and the music. This time, I went to celebrate my friend's b-day, and we had really bad experience (It was actually surprising, it seems something (owner?) changed?). First of all, the bartender guy was terribly unfriendly, and since the music was so loud, he didn't hear the right drink orders and made wrong drinks. When we corrected him (after he made), he got upset and yelled at us (couldn't believe it!). After all he made the right ones but charged us so much more. We thought food quality got worse, too. The music was ok still, but there were too many homosexuals dancing... and kept bumping against us. I don't think we'll ever go this place again.

great place for a party. After searching for a place to host my saturday nite birthday party we settled on the Capitol Club because of a delicious sounding menu, nice looking location and very reasonable event prices. We had one whole room of their dinning room for a very modest food & drink minimum and no room rental fee! Our server was very friendly and handled our large party with grace. The food was delicious though the portions are small because it's tapas. The music was great and, though we could hear the bar noise upstairs, it was not at all bothersome to our event. I had a great party here and highly recommend the Capitol Club!

surprisingly pleased. Went to Capitol Club the last time my buddy from San Diego was in town. I was extremely apprehensive, as I had heard some not-so-stellar things about it third-hand from someone else (obviously from my rating, a stale review), but thought what the hell since I had passed by it the week before and it appeared to be full of some damn happy looking folks. For good reason, it seems. We only went for happy (2) hours, but the food was really fantastic (and very reasonably--happy hour at least--priced). Specifically, if you like calimari, they serve the fattest, lightly breaded (i hate when it's overwhelmed by breading and grease) fried calimari that really let the natural taste come out.

The other food that I nibbled on tasted great even though it was a bit unfamiliar (which was actually fun to try new stuff) and the beers / booze pretty damn cheap, especially considering the fact that the service was probably some of the best I've had. The guy waiting on us was really friendly from the outset, but somehow we discovered he was co-owner, and he told us all about their various specials. Apparently there are live music and performances too. The only negative thing I would have to report is that this joint is that I suspect it is about to get very popular in a hurry, since people tend to find out about such a great score pretty fast. This is probably one of those types of joints that's too good to last, but hopefully they'll be rewarded for doing it right.

New Menu Same Awesome Place. Its been a while since I had been to the Capitol Club and I was not expecting much to tell the truth. Last time I went there (6 months ago) the food was awful and the service was below average. But now I have to say Im glad my friend talked me into going there. They have a new menu and its SO YUMMY!! Its all Spanish food which I wasnt very familiar with but it was fantastic!! Also they have these new yummy drinks...I had a few with Tequila and Guava juice. Mmmm! Not to mention the cute waitress that waited on us was the sweetest thing ever! She even bought my friend dessert for her birthday! To sum it up if you havent been here in a while you are missing out! Definitely has changed for the better!

Excellent Service - great casual meeting place. On the 3rd Tuesday of every month, we gather at The Capitol Club for a conversation about sexuality. The service is always excellent. Our group can be challenging, as we never know how many will show up and when. The food is consistently tantilizing. Their wagyu beef burger is premium and a favorite of many of our group. If you are looking for a casual meeting place for your group, with very reasonable food prices and excellent staff, this is the place!

Great decor, bad food. Great ambiance- the Moroccan flair is right up my alley. But the decor did not make up for the rest of the place. The food was bad and the place was freezing cold- ever thought to turn on a heater in January? And the Capitol Club is under new ownership or so and didn't have a liquor license- so, no drinks. We left after our less than appetizing dinner to head down the street to the Chapel to quench our thirst. It really is too bad as the place is so cute.

Try to catch the live music and dancing!. For some reason I always forget about The Capitol Club until I get invited to a birthday or special event here. The food, drink, and entertainment are superb. The food especially, it's really quite amazing for such moderately priced dishes. I always leave thinking "why don't I come here more often?" and for some reason I still can't figure out what it is about this place that makes me for get it so easily, when really it's a great spot. hmmm...

Something different, something fun. This is a good date spot, unique food, comfortable seating arrangements, and entertaining surroundings. The food was enjoyable and the staff was very friendly. A good pick when you are tired of your norms and want a nice comfortable night out.
