amazing..
last december i got a tattoo by ken on my forearm. since that day i've gotten nothing but compliments from anyone whos seen it. its GORGEOUS. to this day i still look at it and am amazed at the detail, and the shading. all of the guys at the shop do great work, ive gotten several done there.. and had a few different artists. ive recommended many people and theyre all happy too.
i wont go anywhere else!
awesome work.
i came to the shop last august frusterated because i couldnt get in anywhere else (actually i found them in the phone book after bummin all day.) they were curteous and helpful. i brought my mother with me and she even had a wonderful time (was cute watching my mom converse with all these seriously hard lookin dudes! ) jimmy freehand drew my tatt onto my back, all in all i was in the chair about 3 hours and my tattoo turned out beautiful!!! it was a cover of a terrible home tattoo and you would never be able tell by looking at it now!! healing was smooth and nothing went wrong at all!
thanks for rocking guys!! i cant wait to get back to seattle to get more done!!!!!
also had a little bit of a comment about the bad review these guys got.......the one referring to the red star....red ink is the only pigment that has not been hypoallergenized (therefore a great deal of people are allergic to red ink) if it became infected it was probably not because of shoddy tattooing, but more likely because of allergies....sorry man gotta stand up for these guys! cuz they are BADASS!!

Real tattoos for real people. I've been going to S.T.E. for years and have nothing but love and respect for the artists and their work. Whether it's Jimmy "the Saint", Chula, or Hubba, each artist takes his work, his art, and his clients very seriously. If you're looking for a standard tramp stamp or some trendy or A-231 from the Book of Unoriginal Tattoos, go elsewhere. Each artist has a fantastic style, great dedication, and lots of experience as an artist. They're also all kinda hot.
BAD TATTOO 5/12/07. My Girfriend and I went there to get a small red star tattoo on her wrist. Tattoo ended up looking nothing like a star and is so severly scared that the color is unnoticable. Very frustrating. Would not recommend
My favorite tat. I went into STE with a bleak outline of a tat I wanted and Chula was able to draw up a tattoo that I love to show people. The atmosphere was great and I felt that the tattoo was done with speed and precision. I would reccommend their shop to anyone.
The Real Deal. This is not your "hipster" tattoo shop! Seattle Tattoo Emporium is an Old School tatttoo shop were the ink you get is the focus not the people who hang out there. Jimmy "The Saint", Chula, Huba, and Tony are in it for the art, and making sure that "Chino " style ink is alive and well in Seattle. When you walk in to S.T.E. you deal directly with the artists which made me feel better about getting my tattoo than any other place I have been to.
