Who Are They? – Their motto is "Producing Great Plays Simply." Their recent production of "Normal Heart" was very well received and they've made a name for themselves with their popular late night stagings of episodes from "The Twilight Zone." Plus, folks under 18 get in free. – – The Style – They live up to their motto by presenting plays from the theatrical canon in a surprisingly simple way, with no frills and no gimmicks. Twilight Zone!

I saw one of their late night presentations of classic Twilight Zone episodes. Very, very cool! A small, cozy theater with a great bunch of people. I'm looking forward to seeing one of their prime time shows this year.

I was scared at first because some of the performances are waaaaaaay over the top (well, most, actually) but once I settled into the style, I found myself laughing and giving into the waaaaaay over the top acting and simple-minded plot. The guy who plays Money and the gal who plays Run (or is it the the other waaaaay around) do a GREAT job. Both great, as are several other members of the cast. C+Vwery theatrical and inventive direction - great use of the space and set. Worth and dive night out of theatre.
- Pros: funny, outrageous, clever
- Cons: over the top

One of Seattle's best:
Nominated for best fringe theater because of their low-key presentation of quality plays.

The theater is located in what used to be an underground garage in Capitol Hill's bustling Pike/Pine area. There's an added naughty thrill of going to a theater next door to one of Seattle's busiest bathhouses.
