Join the family!!. A great place for your awkward child to find balance and confidence. This is the "village" that helped raise my son to the successful man he is today. The entire family can join and enjoy everything offered. It's not just about Martial Arts, it's about comraderie, goal acheivement, balance, healthy body and mind, hard work and FUN!! My ADHD kid learned how to live without worrying about the stigma and found respect for self and others. I learned how to communicate with him. We had common ground and found peace. Non-competition influenced. More about YOU and your needs and goals. Try it for a month, stay for a lifetime! Great outreach programs and community awareness. Diverse and caring community of people who are genuine about who they are, what they do and what they want out of life. Easy location to get to and close to everything.

Catharsis, Change, and Kicking Booty. We are not your run of the mill martial arts school, laden with testosterone or people beating each other senseless. This extremely dynamic and varied style is the result of a level of commitment on the part of the master that approaches that which would be required for a doctoral thesis - only in theory a doctoral thesis is completed some day. Quantum is a living and constantly evolving style - the result of continual research, testing and input from all its practitioners as well as the tenacity and dedication of the master and the senior students.

I am in love with everyone in our school. Every class is like a holy ceremony - saturated with joy, humor, mutual respect and reverence for each other and what we are doing. I've never met a more beautiful, more accepting, more dedicated group of people in my life and at this point frankly, I don't know what I would do without them.

The kids at Quantum (past and present) are the most well behaved, most disciplined, happiest, most talented children I have ever had the honor of meeting. Many of them are in their early to late teens and have been training at Quantum for seven or eight years. Their skill is exceeded only by their humility and I am amazed by what they have to offer every time I receive the privilege of training with them. I had no idea it was possible for young adults to be so conscious of themselves and others.

Quantum is a spiritual place. It's about growth. It's about movement. It's about pursuing yourself. I've trained at three different schools and this place has the most comprehensive and rigorous curriculum I have yet seen. It doesn't really seem useful to me to attempt to compare it to the styles whence it evolved. It stands uniquely and steadfastly on its own. Whatever your background, I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically encourage you to at least check out the introductory special (first two weeks free.) Just bring some sweats, an open heart, and a large water bottle.

A great dose of energy. I am inspired today to write a review of Quantum Martial Arts (formerly Martial Arts in the Public Interest) due to my experience in class last night.

I entered the dojo tired, having worked out for 4 straight days (including a 6 AM morning run) and a long and stressful work week. Not long in to class I had double the energy that I'd had at any point during the day and ended up working out for two hours.

This is the type of magic that happens daily at Quantum Martial Arts. The style is always challenging and envigorating. In addtion, the community of teachers and students understand that through exploring the connections between body mind and spirit kids and adults are able to tap in to more strength and energy than we every thought we had.

Sure, martial arts is not for everyone, and Quantum may not be right for every martial artist. The cool thing is that the first two weeks are always free (for kids and adults) and there are no long term contracts. The adult students vary from petite women to men over 6 feet tall and range in age from teenage to those in their 5th decade. I started on my 40th birthday as an overweight Mom of two who had never maintained and exercise program for more than a few months. Everyone is welcome to try out a few classes to see how they feel.

Concurrent kid and adult classes make it easy for families to train at the same time.

If you've every thought about training in the martial arts, or are returning to training and seeking a new school, it is worth your time to check out Quantum. You have nothing to lose but a bit a sweat, and that you get to trade for a great dose of energy.

the only place where you can do squid sparring!. from walking into the dojo for the first time at age 7, completely in awe of the muscular and powerful looking woman with the dragon tattoo (who i would later know as master evans), to walking in 6 years later and being greeted by the many people i can now call family, my journey with quantum can be described as loving, sweaty, roaringly funny, life-changing (though how much your life can be changed at age 7 i'm not so sure...), nourishing, and so many other wonderful things.

quantum has helped me develop into my own unique and empowered person, handle my emotions, and become a happy and healthy person. with all of the kicking, punching, board breaking, laughing, popsicle eating, vigorously exercising, wrestling mask wearing, friend-making, sweating, squid sparring, and strengthening experiences that quantum has given me, i wouldn't leave for the world!

Best martial arts school in Seattle. Quantum is a truly amazing place. In addition to an incredibly intense physical workout, there's a strong emphasis on self discovery, as well as a great community full of caring and helpful people. I've been there for over a decade, and I credit the people there with helping me become physically fit and more spiritually centered.

The curriculum is very carefully crafted, building a strong foundation early on, and then increasing as time goes by, and eventually requiring that the student look inward. It also requires a great deal of physical conditioning, but there are few schools out there with warmups that last 45-60 minutes every day, so even students who start out in less than peak condition (like myself) will be able to gain the stamina, strength, and flexibility necessary to train. Additionally, there are few styles that provide training for all ranges, long distance, mid-range, close in, and on the ground. it's a long path, but it's very rewarding.

And you won't find a better group of people anywhere. There really is a strong sense of community. People are kind and caring, and very willing to help each other, and you really are free to be you and me. Our testings are celebrations of the hard work testees have done, and complete with potlucks and often with parties afterwards. If you're looking for a martial arts school in Seattle where you will learn practical self defense, have an opportunity to blossom as a person, and where you'll meet great new friends, this is it.

Martial arts for wellbeing. I had interested in practicing martial arts for a long time, but never stuck with any other dojo. Quantum appealed to me because of its location and the fact that it lets you come for the first two weeks for free. After the first class, I was certain that I wanted this to be my school. I am now nearing my second year at the school.

The style is challenging, fun and always evolving. There is always something new to learn and everyone is able to learn at their own pace. The instructors (who are also students themselves) know each student well and are excellent at adapting their teaching style to suit each person's unique ways of learning. Part of your learning experience is helping to teach newer students, giving you the opportunity to share your knowledge and give you a better understanding yourself. You're allowed to be as involved in the dojo as you like and students have a sense of honest pride in not only how well they do, but in the progress of their fellow students as well.

I wanted to do martial arts for my overall well being and that is what I've found at Quantum. I have better health, increased confidence, and a greater sense of balance in my life than I've ever achieved before. The folks at the dojo have become a second family for me where I've found friends and mentors that are a source of joy in my life. I find myself applying my experiences to all aspects of my life.

Everyone is welcome at Quantum and it's always exciting to have new students, so please come by to observe or join a class!
