DO NOT EAT HERE.
Our order totaled $62s plus tip.
We received three items I would not feed to my dog and he eats crap off the ground. 1 Chicken wings. What we received was a soft, mushy, repugnant pile of chicken bones. 2 Fettuccine alfredo. What we paid $10 for was over cooked long egg noddles in cheap store bought canned sauce. Food was complete crap. Item three was the wrong pizza! I asked for my money back And was told NO. DO NOT GO TO ROMIOS!
Good Food, Poor Service.
This restaurant has had three locations in N. Seattle, Lake City area, but I believe that the owner has remained the same. If the staff is any indication...
The food is excellent. I love it. The Pizza is great, the salads are wonderful and the Chicken Gyro is my favorite. I have never had a bad meal in this restaurant. If you are looking for attentive staff, you likely won't find it here. If you are looking for friendliness, quick refills and promptness, you won't find it here.
The staff are bored, speak in monotone, do not smile, and you have to ask for anything you need. It is usually not offered.
I am willing to overlook poor service because the food is good. This is not a warm fuzzy restaurant. Don't expect it.
A Mom and Pop pizza place that's generous with the toppings..
In Short
Pies sport a medium-thick crust, maxed-out with toppings. Romio's offers several interesting combinations, including the G.A.S.P. variety: garlic, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, and pesto. Pastas are of both Greek and Italian varieties, while salads include black olives, tomatoes and a handful of mozzerella cheese.
expensive, but ok.
If you're looking for a good upscale pizza place, this was about it in this area until the new Pagliacci opened further south on Lake City Way. If you're further north, though, Romio's is pretty good, but the atmosphere is pretty lousy. Get pick up or delivery.
I can't say anything bad about the GASP pizza, though (garlic, artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes & pesto), one of the best pizzas I've ever had...be prepared to stink afterwards, but it's a price worth paying.
