Editorial Review for Luna Park Cafe – by Lauren Sancken

In Short
Named after Luna Park, a Coney Island style amusement park that used to grace West Seattle's waterfront, this lively cafe serves up omelets, shakes, burgers, and nostalgia by the plateful to a family-oriented crowd. The cafe boasts an original 1958 Seaburg Jukebox that plays a constant stream of Oldies, a Batmobile amusement ride from the original Luna Park and walls peppered with colorful fifties signage.

Insider Tips

Where to Sit

Sunny, warm days make the outdoor patio a nice brunch spot. Avoid waiting for a table by sitting at one of the swivel stools at the counter.

Know Before You Go

Bring a pocketful of quarters to keep the jukebox going and the amusements, like the mechanical orchestra and Pepe the Clown, dancing.

Happy Hour

Daily happy hour featuring $4 appetizers, $2 PBR, and $3 house wine from 3-6pm.

We went here base don the reviews and the location. We'll be going back based on the burgers, the beer, the fires and the salad. The staff is/was very nice. Very cool retro-vibe on the inside, and the front patio is very entertaining.

Pros: It's all good.

Cons: Hmmmmmm...

Fun atmosphere, like a fifties diner with individual juke boxes at every table. The wait staff all have kind of a punk vibe and are always attentive, helpful and johnny on the spot. I consider myself a burger afficiando and was totally blown away by the burgers at Luna Park, get a hand dipped milkshake to go with it and you are set. This is an excellent place for a weekend breakfast as well.

Pros: Atmosphere, waitstaff and good down home food

Cons: none
