In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

Myself and 5 others went to this place for dinner. We sat down, ordered appetizers and drinks. When our drinks came we ordered dinner. Our appetizers eventually arrived as did our salads. We all got to talking and someone spoke up that it seemed like a long time since we ordered our dinner. We looked around and noticed that two other tables that were seated after us had already received their food. Our server came over and we inquired as to where our food was. She told us they were getting it ready in the kitchen and it should be out any moment. Ten minutes later our food finnally arrived. My steak was ice cold. my friends chicken was ice cold and my friends crab legs were frozen solid! We then asked for the management. They said they would re-make our dinners for us, but we told them we had already been waiting for our food for over an hour and we weren't about to wait another hour for them to cook us another dinner. We were about to leave when the manager told us we had to pay for our drinks because legally they couldn't give away alcohol. They charged us $50 for everything, including 3 sodas! We then decided to inquire about a corporate phone number and was told, by another gentleman named Josh who was now claiming to be the manager that there was no corporate phone number. The staff at this restaurant nereds a lesson in customer service and we also feel we are owed something in compensation for our terrible experience.

I think the Outback has some of the finest food of any restaurant. Even though it is a chain I think their steaks surpass a lot of fancy establishments and the price is right.

The Outback offers casual, simple dining with good value. The guys would enjoy a repeat visit to this Australian themed establishment. A Bloomin' onion tops the Aussietizer side of the menu. We ordered one take-out for the family at home. You can order curb side take away for your entire meal - Outback is set up for take-out service - even reserved parking spots on the west side of the restaurant. "Mission Outback" fed our troops - check out the website. :-)
