What People Are Saying About Handy Andy Rent-A-Tool
Unmaintained equipment & NO insurance coverage
by Faye Holtz
In 09/2007 Handy Andy's rented an unmaintained Bobcat to my ex-husband. They were even so helpful as to deliver the equipment to his front door. This piece of equipment should never have been rented to the public since none of the safetly devices were working properly which resulted in his DEATH.
If that isn't bad enough, Handy Andy's claimed no responsiblity in the matter and stated they were self insured with little to no money. I guess you can't get blood out of a turnip. How is it that the state allows a company of this nature to run a business without a bond or proof of proper insurance coverage?!
Needless to say, they are still in business, renting equipment that is unmaintained no double, and I am quite sure they don't have the insurance to cover the loss of a life. I guess some companies just don't care.
If you value your life, I certainly would not be renting anything from this company...just ask our son.
- Pros: none
- Cons: LACK OF INSURANCE COVERAGE IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT
I'll never go back
by Keith5
I have been taking abuse from Handy Andy for years. Why you ask? Because they are you only place in North
Seattle that has U-haul concrete. They have yelled at me like i was a private in boot camp. Just because I didn't understand their demands. Their equipment is poorly maintained and unsafe. The last straw was when they shorted me on a load of concrete and then called me a liar when I complained. I'll never go back. I'll mix concrete by hand from now on.
- Pros: They have U-cart concrete
- Cons: Rude, Unsafe equipment, Cheat
