What People Are Saying About Highland Ice Arena

In Short – It's winter all year here: Temperatures inside the regulation-size rink are kept at a chilly 50 to 55 degrees so that people of all ages can enjoy gliding gracefully, or not so gracefully, around the rink on a layer of ice. Private and group lessons are offered daily and young Michelle Kwan hopefuls are often still practicing during the afternoon public sessions. The evening sessions are best for those still awkward in their skates.
Editor's Tips
- Know Before You Go:
- It can get nippy inside the rink, so dress appropriately. If you forget your gloves, the sports shop in the building can sell you a pair.
- Save Money:
- Store your shoes and other belongings in a locker for a quarter.
Avoid the skate repair shop

Don't even think about going to this place for skate repairs. They wanted to charge me $20 for putting my skates back to the way I had them before dropping them off. I never got a quote for the job initially, so they called me on my way home saying I have to pay upfront. When they game me the quote, I said no way, but they had already started the job. Doesn't it seem odd that now I'm charged $20 because someone jumped the gun on the work? Ridiculous. Avoid this place like the plague.
