Pork, beef & chicken bbq paired with tater salad and chips make for a fine meal any time of the day. Great service and a lively room seal the deal.
the very best.
messy, short hours, but worth the trip anytime. this is great barbeque.
and so cheap!
bang for your buck. The food is fantastic, the price is great. You do need to be able to handle some heat. The only bad thing is the better the review the longer we stand in line.
For Those Keen on Regurgitation.... I apologise ahead of time: I KNOW how this sounds; condescending, pedantic as hell, arrogant. But the sorrowful fact is that, if you grew up in the South and ate BBQ regularly, THERE IS NO GREAT BBQ IN SEATTLE. I'm sick to death of everybody crowing about this place. People in Texas would burn the building down. In my home state, North Carolina, they'd just laugh at it and go elsewhere. Their meat is fatty and either over or undercooked and their buns are mass-produced, pasty crap. And the sauce? Puh-leeze! Nobody who knows what Southern or Tex-Mex BBQ actually tastes like would EVER recommend this.
Get Ready Saliva Glands.
The Best!!!!!!
From wimp to antacid
Sliced beef is AWWWWESOME.
The sauce is great and the people are outstanding.
Too bad they aren't open for dinner. I might catch them every night on my way home.
Definitely a must for the BBQ lover.
MEDIUM TO VERY HOT BBQ SAUCE!. FIRST TIME I TRIED IT I DECIDED TO GET MILD SAUCE, BUT IT WAS SORT OF HOT, SO TOLD MY HUSBAND WHO CAN STAND ALOT OF "HEAT", AND THE HOTTEST SAUCE WAS TOO MUCH FOR HIM...HE GOT MEDIUM AND IT WAS JUST RIGHT..
BEST BBQ. Many times over the years have I darkened Pecos Pit's door. Having also eaten at Dixies AND Tony Roma's, here's the way it SHOULD be rated: 1. Pecos Pit 2. Dixies and 3. Anybody except Tony Roma's. Whoever voted for Tony Roma's has never been to # 1 or #2...
Go Hungry!.
Great meat flavors. Large sandwiches. Get the Pork and "Spike it." You will not be disappointed. Again the sauce, which is average and on the hot side, kills the meat flavor. Over the years the sauce has gotten hotter less flavorful.
Unfortunately, too many BBQ joints in the NW steam the meats and don't smoke them.
As mentioned go hungry!
Go to Texas for Lunch. Pecos' Pit is a great barbecue option for lunch. Their menu is simple and the sandwiches are smoky-red-hot delicious! If you mosey around back you'll see the real hickory & mesquite they use to smoke the beef, pork & chicken. And like we always say, "Don't Forget to Spike It!!" - they'll add a scrumptious smoked sausage to your sandwich. Try Pecos' Pit you'll love it!!
GREAT. THE BEST BBQ THERE ISIN SEATTLE.COST IS NOT BAD.EASY TO FIND. BUT ALWASE CROUDED WEN IT OPENS.
Pecos Pizzazz. Pecos provides the tastiest beef and pork sandwiches that I have tried. They provide several levels of spiciness to their BBQ sauce and the taste is outstanding. Their accompanying sausage (just say "spike it") can't be beat. The staff is very firendly - no pressure to avoid offending the owner by not trying the hottest of their hottest sauces.
