Owner Ron Scher created Third Place Books with Oldenburg's vision in mind. His meeting place boasts a full schedule of free author events, musical performances, lectures, literary discussions and poetry readings, and sells new, used and collectible books. An in-store Honey Bear Bakery provides coffee and baked goods.

From the organic blueberry muffins at Honey Bear Bakery to the awesome children's area in the bookstore, this place is a destination that always makes me smile. My kids are learning to play chess with the oversized set (board is about 16 square feet) and always have a great time when we go.
Pros: plenty of parking, kid friendly, good live music
