Readers unite! This wonderful bookstore is like an old-fashioned community clubhouse drawing all ages. Beyond the well-organized collections of best sellers, cookbooks, gift items and used paperbacks, there's a stage where musicians play regularly and a better-than-your-average food court. Authors read in The Den. It all adds up to a big bunch of awesome.
The abundant staff reviews are really appreciated. Great selection and nice staff. Having Honey Bear Bakery adjacent is awesome!
Love this place.. From the organic blueberry muffins at Honey Bear Bakery to the awesome children's area in the bookstore, this place is a destination that always makes me smile. My kids are learning to play chess with the oversized set (board is about 16 square feet) and always have a great time when we go.
Everything you could want in a bookstore: A huge selection, tasty food and all the local charm you can handle..
In Short
In "The Great Good Place," sociologist Ray Oldenburg proposed that everyone needs three places: home, work, and a "third place" to meet and socialize. Owner Ron Scher created Third Place Books with Oldenburg's vision in mind. His meeting place boasts a full schedule of free author events, musical performances, lectures, literary discussions and poetry readings, and sells new, used and collectible books. An in-store Honey Bear Bakery provides coffee and baked goods.
