I have a preschooler attending Lake Forest Park Montessori. This school has a wonderful program, not only do the teachers expose the children to all aspects of learning but they also make sure that the children are loved, appreciated and respected. The classrooms have wonderful materials that support the Montessori curriculum. It is kept very clean and organized. The staff is very warm, friendly and accommodating. When I drop off my son in his class I feel confident that he stimulated socially, academically and emotionally. He continues to blossom into a happy well adjusted child.

I was so pleased when I first started taking my child here...the staff is friendly, enthusiastic and highly invested in their work with the children. Soon however, it began feeling more like a stringent cult than an educational learning environment. Everything from the lunches I packed to the distance in millimeters my child strayed from the "personal space" mats began being scrutinized. There is no such thing as individuality or "kids being kids" here. My child is a good kid too...the new school we are at agrees with that 100%. So, if you are trying to raise a robot zombie baby who is under total mind control and taught to never (God forbid!) have an opinion or mind of their own...then this is the place for you! You honestly could not pay me to take my child back here...
Pros: Staff thinks they are great
Cons: Huge class sizes, long waiting lists, meaning: your kid isn't perfect...they'll replace 'em with another
