Great American is a nice place to go out with friends. The Ripe Tomato Restaurant has a fine menu and tasty food at reasonable prices. I stopped in a few weeks ago, and qualified for their 12 Days of Christmas promotion. They have fair table games and customer service is awesome.

First off let me state I do not gamble, nor did I go to dance. I went to "The Riverside" as it is called with a few friends, following a poker game in Redmond. Since it was not far from my home and I was curious about this place, I tagged along and watched them play card games... and ate. After dark, as you approach The Riverside the first thing you notice is how dark and seedy it looks from the outside. But once inside it is filled with the light of the Restaurant and as you walk forward into the game and bar area it darkens again. To make a long story short? My knees locked together and I became dizzy momentarily, I was literally dazed and confused. I think I had a foodgasm!~!! If that is possible... This was unbelievably good food, my taste buds were popping, my mouth watering and my cheeks were tingling from all the flavors; at one point I almost screamed ?Bam!~!!? But, alas, that never happened? I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted raw basil in a Panko Breaded fried fish dish, that had been lightly drizzled with Soy and Oyster Sauce. I kid you not; the food is wonderful, so addicting that I have to go back at least once a week for my fix now. There is no good Asian food near my home in West Seattle, nor the next two surrounding areas. The portions are huge also, so if you order alone, expect to take some leftovers home; if you have some friends with you - it is best to eat family style and order different items off the menu to share. To best describe how good the food is, I would have to honestly say? It is as if they snuck into Chinatown and stole the best Chefs away from the International District and then hired them at The Riverside. So the next time you are hungry after clubbing, or just after all the restaurants have closed for the night; they are open until six am. Get in your car and drive down to The Riverside for some of the freshest and most exquisite food this side of the water. Be well, Annie J
