In Short – This award-winning restaurant chain is known primarily for its baby back ribs, but through the 30-plus years since its flagship location opened in North Miami, the family-friendly menu has expanded to include barbequed chicken, char-grilled steaks, burgers, pasta, seafood and salads. All ribs are served with one of the accompanying sauces (Original, Carolina Honeys, Blue Ridge Smokies, Red Hots, or Honey-Chipotle), and two sides like coleslaw, fries, or a baked potato.

Whimpy ribs

by bjh528 at Citysearch

I used to like Tony Roma's. Then, after not going there for awhile I tried it again. The sauces were good, but tame for me. What really bothered me, though, was what I have come to consider the few, whimpy little ribs I get. I do a mean rib, and a bunch of them at a time at home though, and maybe I've just moved on. At any rate, Tony Roma's just don't interest me any more. But, that's just one opinion.

  • Pros: atmosphere, accompaniments, service
  • Cons: Dainty portions, Dainty ribs, No assertive sauces

We used to love Tony Romas until the last time we ate there. The prices had gone up and the quantities had shrank. I also felt the quality of food had diminished as well. Very disappointing. This was at the Lynwood restauraunt.
