The Scene – While Salty's may not be keeping up with downtown Seattle's culinary sophistication, it excels at making diners feel comfortable. Service is down-to-earth and reliable, never snobbish. Regulars have long made this their special-occasion restaurant, while others bring visitors to show off the billion-dollar view. – – The Food – Stick with the basics, starting with creamy seafood chowder. Coconut prawns have long deserted most menus, but die-hard fans will find them here--an instant flashback to the 1980s. The kitchen's approach to fish leans toward fillets…

Great Food + Great Service = Salty's at Redondo

by BigRedOne

Salty's at Redondo is always our destination place for a special night out! The food is always wonderful and the service is above average. The chef's fresh market sheet is always a tasty choice but, I have a hard time not ordering the "Crab Mac and Cheese". The bar also has great daily specials (prime rib on friday's for under $20, YUMMY).

I am not sure if the people writing the previous reviews usually eat super-sized Claim Jumper portions but, the portions are more than adequate. I would always rather have quality over quantity. If you are in the area, I highly recommend giving Salty's a try!

Dont ever ever eat here

by bob t

I dont know what it is about Salty's at Redondo. When you walk in its a nice resturaunt but then you see these signs you can put your face in and balloons everywhere it reminded me of Red Robin. Then you sit down and get to looking at the menu. To be honest the menu doesn't sound intriguing at all its like every dish only comes with mash or rice WOW thats a good choice...then when you order your salad it looks like it was just thrown on there. The dishes are sloppy. I wonder what the chef is thinking when he sees this go on. Then its just way to expencive to eat there and not get proper portions. I have so many bad things to say about this resturaunt it boggles my mind. Well pretty much do not eat there its not worth it

Our first visit was to our liking. We had a party of 18 people and they had set up the tables in a platformed area of the restaurant, so we felt we had our own little room, in a sense. The waiter, Noel, was very very accommodating, entertaining, and polite. The food was fresh (most of us ordered halibut), and the prices competitive. The restaurant sits right on the Puget Sound with the beach that adds to the whole experience. The restaurant definitely gave us that sea worthy feeling. Loved it!

  • Pros: View
  • Cons: Small spacing, bad parking lot
