Editorial Review for Mosquito Fleet – by Jennifer Ching
The Experience
You don't need sea legs to spot orcas, minkes, grey whales and other sea life on Captain Michael Bennett's smooth sailing catamaran. The official whale watch company of the Seattle Aquarium takes you through Deception Pass to orca territory, with an on-board naturalist pointing out wildlife and spewing fascinating facts. Bennett, president of the Whale Watch Operators Association that promotes responsible whale watching, worked with the company for seven years and bought it two years ago. His boat is equipped with an underwater microphone so you can hear the orcas communicate. For children, there are picture books, coloring books, and even whale lice to observe.
