Everett >Car Toys INC
I think for the most part they are doing a good job. I got great customer service (especially from Don and Randy) and even though the first install took longer than necessary, they were very helpful and even gave me a discount on my next purchase. I will go back to them in the future.
Poor "detail" job. Even though I read the reviews on this car toys and all were negetive, non were about the detail service. Like a knucklehead I decided to give that a shot. I called 'em up explained I was selling my car and wanted an interior detail done. Trying to be nice I told them it doesn't need to be a 5 hour no stone unturned type, but I want the new owner to feel like they're getting a nice clean fresh car. I already keep the car fairly clean and I cleared what few items I had in there out. I was qouted $100 and should be done between noon and 5pm, little bit of a gap there but I told 'em "sure sounds good". 4Hrs later my car didn't look all that much cleaner, only the floor mats were shampooed, the dash wiped down, vaccuumed (except the EMPTY trunk) and not a drip of water on the exterior. I still had to wipe up a few spots that were missed and all I was told is what do I expect for $100. I called two other places that qouted me about the same and offered a lot more including at least an express wash w/ hand dry.
did ~$7000 damage to my car.
installed dvd player in my car. Tech powered dvd player by splicing into my airbag power supply. Horrible sound quality for two months was first clue something was wrong even though car toys denied it the entire time....then found out my airbag system was shorted out and not covered by my warranty due to the dvd player installation mistake. Was told repeatedly there was no way this could happen because the wires for my airbag system are clearly marked where no installation tech would be stupid enough to splice into it. Guess what? Car Toys employs techs that do this....
Worst experience I have ever had. Ruined my new car, stressed me out completely due to preterm labor problems for my wife from the stress. I wrote to store manager and corporate office with no reply at all.
Don't buy here or have them install anything if you care about your car.
This store has ZERO positive reviews as of the date of my review....that should tell you something.
Would give them zero stars if the option were available.
Horrible. They installed my own amp which was fine when I took it out of my other car an hour earlier. Told me it was bad and sold me a new amplifier. As soon as I drove away new amp shut off! Told me I needed a more expensive amp so I went to another store who showed me they hooked up my woofers wrong. They blew out my amp and had me by a new one. Now I am out 600$ becuase they screwed up my install! STAY AWAY FROM CAR TOYS!!!
Horrible Sales and Customer Service.
I purchased a GPS unit from Car Toys, the sales man was nice but he just kept trying to push me to purchase more items, he talked me into the 3-year extended warranty, which was outrageously expensive! Four months later my GPS died, I took it to Car Toys the next day and assumed I would get a new GPS since I paid so much for the extended warranty and for the unit. Instead they said they had to send it back to the manufacturer and I would get the unit back within 3 weeks. After 3 weeks I called inquiring about my GPS, they replied that they didnt know where it was in the process, and that it would probably take 6 weeks. After 6 weeks I called Cart Toys again and they quoted me another 2 weeks and they still didnt know where in the process my unit was. It has now been 8 weeks, I still dont have my GPS unit and they still dont know where it is. I have spoken to multiple managers and none of them tried to do anything to make the process easier or try to inform me better of the process.
I reccomend never purchasing anything from Car Toys these people are rude and only care about making a commission! Car Toys does not care about the customer!
BAD SALES PEOPLE!!!!!!!!.
I don't usually write reviews but they really pi**ed me off. The Sales person that "tried" to help me knew about the products but only cared about making money. and not about telling the truth.
I told him that I had a 2007 Chevy Aveo and I was looking for a stereo head unit. I also told him that I would need to purchase a wire harness and a mounting kit. he then proceeded to tell me that the wiring harness for a 2007 Chevy Aveo cost $125 and that I would have to purchase an adapter that integrates the door chimes to it. that was $125
and that the install dash kit was $30!!!! I told him that the wiring harness for a basic stereo unit should only be $15 - $20 and that the 2007 Aveo's don't need the door chime adapter. He was very insistent and when I asked him to check the facts he just walked away and never came back.
Note to the sales person:
I can understand that they pay you commission on your sales but you should try to consider being more honest with your clients and be a little more humble and just check the facts before you make a fool out of your self. I would have bought from you if you had done so. But mainly you should be aware that people do RESEARCH ONLINE BEFORE THEY BUY! So when you start throwing out random useless numbers then you will LOSE more SALES! Be honest and a show that you are a truthful person (to future clients) and you will be successful in the long run. in other words BUILD A CLIENT BASE!!!!!!
