Fantastic service

by iwasthinkin at Citysearch

Our family has purchased three VW's from Pignataro. Both the sales and service departments have always been honest, helpful and friendly. Any time we walk in the dealership the employees go out of their way to make sure we are taken care of. The service guys are friendly and efficient, the prices are competitive and the work is always top notch. Thanks guys, you're the best!

disappointed

by mindylea at Citysearch

i leased my jetta from pignataro 2 yrs ago. i explained that i am on a VERY tight budget and needed a reliable vehicle that required little maintenance. i was ensured that the jetta was the car for me.

now 2 short years later and 5 months before my lease is up- i need new rear brakes. les schwab told me that one of my calipers was sticking- causing the brake pad to wear down more than normal. this should be covered under my warranty. they recommended i have it checked out by volkswagen.

i called pignataro. i was told it would be a charge of $100 to diagnosis the problem. (uh- les schwab just did that for free.) it was worth it if my brake repair was covered under the warranty. of course- pignataro determined it wasn’t the calipar sticking. $380 for new rear brakes. on top of that they determined that my front tire tread was unsafe and that my tires needed to be rotated asap. ($25. something else les schwab does for free.) i also need a front end alignment. wow.

so- 2 years into my lease, with 5 months to go-- i replaced the rear brakes (no way to prove it was the caliper- had to take their word...) and am driving on un-rotated and unsafe tires because although pignataro already had 2 of my tires off and it would have only taken 15 minutes of their time-- they wouldn’t throw it into the $380 i was already paying.

thank you for the fantastic service- and caring for my safety and well being pignataro. (sarcasm)

you will NOT have my business in the future. only 5 months to go.

  • Pros: close to home
  • Cons: cost. employees don’t care about customer cost and safety.

Great Service

by Kellbell at Citysearch

I have owned 2 VAG vehicles and the service on both cars was great. Though I'm not always in and out on the same day, a loaner or rental car is arranged for me. I trust this dealership is honest and will take care of my cars. I wouldn't go to any other dealership. Service staff is always friendly and fun.

Slow Service Department

by GarMoMa at Citysearch

Driving home on a Thursday evening, the engine light on my wife's Passat went on (second time in the 1 1/2 years we've owned it). The first time we encountered this problem, it was towed to Campbell-Nelson and they had it diagnosed and fixed and ready to drive home, all in the same day. So this time, I called VW Roadside Assistance to come get it and they told us they'd take it to the nearest dealership to be looked at which happened to be Pignataro.

Our car was towed early Friday morning and we called ahead to let them know it was coming. I was told that they'd take a look at it, and at the very least, call us and let us know what the problem was. Toward the end of the day I still hadn't heard from them so gave them a call. They acted like it was no big deal that they hadn't looked at it yet. I was polite and asked them again, "When will you be looking at it?" They replied that they were closed on Sunday but had a skeleton crew working Saturday and that even though it wasn't normally done, he'd go ahead and have someone look at it for us on Saturday - like he was doing us a favor.

So Saturday morning my wife called them just to make sure they were true to their word since they lied to us on Friday. She received the same response - they would look at it today (Saturday) and call us and let us know what is wrong. We are normally a two car family and can manage with only one - but my wife is 8 months pregnant and with all the DR appointments and everything, a second car really helps us out.

It is now Monday morning and I am curious to see what the Pignataro service crew has up their sleeves today....

  • Pros: They don't return phone calls which ultimately saves resources
  • Cons: Slow Service Department / Poor Communication

money grabbers

by dadykinns at Citysearch

daughter and son-in-law just traded in for a new jetta. that old saying "white man speaks with forked tongue" definitely applies to this dealership. please make note that pignataro starts with the 3 letters...pig-and we all know that pigs have a reputation for gluttony.

would have been more straight up in the sales manager would have worn a mask-then there is now question you are being robbed!

avoid this dealership like the plague!!!
