Green Flag!. I was at Four Wheel Parts in Lynnwood and asked them where I should take my Jeep, They reccommended Danas Transmissiions in Everet. Then I read the reviewws in CitySearch. So today I took my 92 Jeep Wrangler to Tom. He changed all the fluids on the transmission, transfer case, and front & back differentials. This took just under two hours. During that time I talked with Tom quite a bit as he was very busy with walk-in customers and phone calls. Tom was extremely friendly and very open and honest. Price is very fair. I even talked about switching from an auto to a manual transmission and he talked me out of that. A customer walked in and stated that his transmission broke again but wasn't sure if it was still under warrantee. Tom said, "I've got it covered, it won't cost you anything, even if it's over the mileage warrantee by a little bit !" Well, my 1992 Dodge P/U truck needed a new clutch. I called my wife and had her drive the truck up to have Tom at Danas Transmissions replace it! After I get that back I am going to get Tom to replace some seals on my Jeep to stop small fluid leaks! You can be confident in Danas Transmission!…
BEWARE. I have never written online reviews before. HOWEVER, I felt compelled to caution folks when searching for a transmission shop. This company is sloppy with their work. They repaired my original problem but created three others in the process. After no way out, they admitted to 2 of the problems, but the third problem, while obvious to the eye, they have refused to fix and they are now ignoring me. I have struggled for several months with this and now I believe the only way out is to just sell my car.....Folks, please do your research when selecting a transmission shop. If you want headaches this company is the one for you....Not Recommended.…
Above and beyond my expectations.
Thom was extremely careful to thoroughly and patiently explain what was wrong with our transmission, what our options were, and what other things he could fix while he had it all taken apart. I
compared his quoted prices for the work to other sources, and found that he did the work at a significant discount. When he found a couple other minor problems in the course of his work, he fixed them for free!
You can bet that if I ever need transmission work done again, I'll be headed to Dana's. Highly recommended.…
My experience with Dana's Transmission. My transmission suddenly went out on my 99 Lexus that I just purchased a year ago. I had my vehicle towed to Dana's Transmission and got an estimate. He gave me an estimate of 3k max. I was afraid, and so I called around to make sure I was not getting ripped off. I called AAMCO, General Transmission, and one other place in Snohomish. I spoke with a fellow from General and told him the quote that I got from Dana's, and he told me that I had better jump on it. I came back and spoke with Thom and said look, please give me an estimate with no B/S. I cannot afford to have any surprises! I have a hard time trusting any mechanic, but Thom was amazing. He kept his word, and I kept mine. My car drives perfect now. I even referred my family members to him, and they were very pleased with the service they got. If you are looking for a fair, honest, and constructive place to take your vehicle, I recommend you take your vehicle to Dana's. The only reason I am writing this is because I wish I found a review like this to at least guide me during that horrible time.…
