Finest Saddlemaker in the Northwest. Walking into Chris Tornow's Saddle Shop was so relaxing! and the smell of leather was like coming home, to me. It's a small shop and it's full to the brim, with saddles and bridles and leather and all kinds of wonderful things. But it's a clean shop and she made me feel very welcome. Chris is a quiet person but I found her to be very likeable and her work is meticulous. After having her make a few things for myself, I realized that she doesn't know just how good she really is!!! She is VERY humble ! Personally, I liked that about her. Her work is beautiful. If you want chaps, or saddle bags or anything with lots of tooling, she can do it! or, maybe you like it smooth and clean and simple. Either way, or in-between, it'll be near perfect and beautifully done. As you can see, I was impressed. Now....if I can just save up enough $$$ for a Chris Tornow Saddle.......????? I still haven't gotten everything I want from Chris's shop, so I'm looking forward to my next visit! Maybe I'll see you there?…
