Herb's has been catering to local beer drinkers since 1938. There are a few pool tables and a jukebox, and the bar hosts the occasional live music or karaoke night. There's a good selection of beer on tap and more bottled varieties. And then there are the burgers, which are arguably the best and definitely the biggest around. Sandwiches, fish and chips, and the like are also available.

True, I haven't been to Herb's in a few years, but I have trouble believing the really negative review by "drunktom". Perhaps the reviewer's name should provide a clue to the validity of his review. When I went there, the service was great, the food very good, and I listened to $5 worth of music. I plan on going back to the San Juans next spring and I can't wait to get back to Herb's!
Pros: Friendly staff, good food, great jukebox.
Cons: None--after all, this is a BAR--in case negative reviewers don't notice!

This place just stinks! From the smell of urine wafting from the mens bathroom, to the aroma of stale beer and rodent feces, yes rodent feces at the bar, you are in for a very "island" experience. Nowhere on earth is there a more rude bar staff. The sign that greets you upon entrance is; "I'm busy, your ugly, have a nice day". I'm not kidding, this place is unreal. Hey I'm sorry you hate your job as a bartender so much. Go do something else if you hate people.

Cons: Stinks
