Terrible! I'd give NEGATIVE STARS!!
The owner Mary pressured us into signing contracts relatively fast saying she has lots of other people looking, even before we saw the place in person, ( her claims of other people looking at the place turned out not to be true-- and she lost no business besides us) then we tell her we have to switch dates because important members of my family faced some complications and could not make it, and Mary threatened if we moved our dates again she would keep all our money and give us no refund!! Shocked, my family said we shouldnt be working with someone so unprofessional and so not understanding, weddings are stressful and Mary was just adding to the stress. I told her we were canceling and wanted refund. She denied our phone calls, and would only respond to emails. She kept our deposits and said she would refund our rooms but we havent gotten ANYTHING back from her. No security deposit, nothing that she said she would return. SO if you like getting ripped off and want a TERRIBLE wedding experience-- Wallace Falls has your name written all over it!
Horrible business and unprofessional management.
If it was possible to give a negative star rating to this establishment I would have. As previously reviewed the dishonesty is shocking and the lack of professionalism makes the experience horrible. I have been planning my wedding from out of state with the assistance of family. All along the way from the initial booking and payment on the final deposit the management have been disorganized and unpleasant to deal with. Last month I called and reserved 3 additional rooms for the night prior to the wedding for immediate family and ourselves. The management would not accept payment because she claimed it will be easier if more people want to stay to do it all at once. I informed her I was concerned the rooms would get booked prior to the event and I insisted on making payment but she refused and guaranteed she had us on the books for 3 rooms. I should have known that was a lie. I have now been informed by the manager that the rooms are now not available because they have booked another wedding party the same night.
The lack of customer service, disorganization, and now false representation have made this one of the most frustrating business transaction I have ever experienced. I strongly advise anyone considering Wallace Falls Lodge to reconsider immediately, save yourself the stress and headaches that go along with this business and poor management.
The Owner RUINED my wedding!.
This place is beautiful! You couldn't ask for a more beautiful backdrop for a wedding. It would have also made a great place to return to each anniversary, which was our plan, if it were not for the fact that the owner ruined my wedding. She decides, after everyone is there, that we need to pay her hundreds of dollars more than what we had agreed upon. So, on our wedding day, we're arguing with the crazy lady that runs the place instead of focusing on getting married. We ended up agreeing to pay her a little extra, but chose to leave days earlier than planned just to get away from her and any other random charges she decided to make up. It was the worst experience. If you're going to have your wedding there, please rethink it. I see from other reviews I've found, that I am not the only person that she did this too. Don't take the risk of having her ruin your wedding!
