We spent our 4th anniversary at the Inn at Langley. We live near Seattle and have heard such amazing things, we were really quite excited for this evening. While our evening was near perfect, for the price, I felt the room was somewhat lacking. We stayed in room 20, a corner guestroom. The room was pretty enough with a lovely view, but when I'm paying $300/night for a room, I expect everything, down to the last detail, to be perfect. What we found was that some things (like the bathroom door handle) didn't function properly, and others (baseboards, bathroom, etc) showed more wear than I would expect. The tub was gorgeous but the finishes in the bathroom left somethign to be desired... formica counter tops and plane white tile in a $300/night room? What a shame. Dinner was another story all together. Our only wish was for more of each dish. We opted for the $60/pp wine pairing and felt the indulgence was worth it. I am a vegetarian, my husband had informed them ahead of time, and they really went above and beyond to make my meal special. Every bite of each course (6 all together) was perfection- perfectly seasoned, perfectly balanced and the wine pairing was really a highlight for us. Don't miss breakfast in the dining room. Fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, pastries, bread and quiche are gorgeously arranged. Breakfast had the feel of raiding the chefs pantry- what a treat! We will definitely return for dinner ! At $360 for a dinner for two, it's not cheap- but certainly it has been added to our short list of memorable meals. The jury is still out on whether we will stay at the inn again though. It would be a shame to miss the breakfast, but the room was simply not worth the price, sorry to say. Overall, I'd say the room gets 6 of 10 (generously, mostly for fitting in with the northwest theme, the stunning view and overall feel of the property), 10 stars falls short to describe the incredible meal we enjoyed.
Pros: gorgeous property, amazing view, amazing food, comfy bed, nice northwest feel to room
Cons: the room did not meet my expectation for the price point

The Inn at Langley has been a twice yearly getaway for about 10 years. Langley is a picture postcard type of town with several very good restaurants, a movie theater showing first run films, and wonderful galleries featuring local artists. The Inn provides a tranquil place to unwind and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. Read a book on your covered deck, enjoy the garden or walk along the beach.
Pros: Location, Great Dinner
