Great Food, Great Service. When we first moved to WA state and ended up in Lynwwood, WA we ate at the Buzz Inn there. After moving down to Renton there were no Buzz Inns there. We have now moved to Monroe and was glad to see the Buzz Inn only a mile from our new place. We have been here for about a month and have had many great meals there. We ahve taken all the people there that have helped us with our move. They all agree that the food and service there is great. I am not a big beef eater, but they have some really good meat. Have not had a bad meal yet. Being a former service person myself, I love getting good service my self. There are not many places you can go where the server remembers what customer drink, the salad dressing they like, and that they do not like croutons on their salads. There are two stand out servers there that we just love. Devina and Kelley. They always have a smile, a kind word, and just a all around great manner about them. Devina has waite on us more than anyone. Most servers seat you, get your drinks, and take your order then your money. She takes the time to ask how things are going and really cares about how her customers feel. She can always make us smile and laugh. I would go for the food as it has always been good. But, when you get great service on top of that it is wonderful. Keep up the good work.
Don't go for a fine dining experience.
As a one time regular of Buzz Inn, I'm not too impressed anymore.
They HAD formula for success while you ordered your own food and the waitresses tended to your needs and cleaned up after you.
Now they are trying to provide dinning experience by seating you 1st and then you have to wait for the waitress to tend to you. (Which by the way they are not).
I went there for quick, inexpensive and great food, now I wast at least another 20min doing nothing but waiting.
They are not a fine dinning experience and they should not try, they are a bar with all the obnoxiousness of drinking people. They do not have the atmosphere or staff too pull it off.
Not a good business plan, they could have a higher turn over if people weren't always dependant on the waitresses skills to keep things moving. The staff certainly isn't going to get better tips if thats what they were thinking.
GO BACK TO WHAT MADE YOU WHAT YOU ARE !!!
They still have great food, just need to get it too us quicker.
Unprofessional Establishment. We like the burgers at Buzz Inn in Monroe. Well don't order a glass of wine there. When the server brought the glass of wine, (in a standard wine glass) it was a little less than 3/4 full. When we brought it to her attention, she said 'that is the way we serve wine now". For $4.00 I don't think that is right and it's very cheap and very unprofessional. Also, when we ordered, we split our meal and had one to go. To go costs another .35 cents. Again -- I wouldn't go back there for burgers or anything else especially wine!!! This establishment has gone downhill and they don't understand what the term customer service means... Just our opinion.....
Bad Customer Service. On Saturday morning about 11AM my wife and I went to the Buzz Inn in Monroe for breakfast. We frequent this place quite a bit because of the atmosphere and the good service that we're provided. The last three or four times we've been there we have noticed a significant lack in customer service abilities from the staff in Monroe. This morning was no exception to the service except this time when we wanted to order no one would come and take our order. When we first arrived the waitress/bartender came over directly with two menus for us to look at. At this time we ordered coffee and received it promptly. It took us about 2 minutes to make our menu choice but 10 minutes later there was no waitress that would voluntarily take the initiative to come and take our order. We got the attention of another watress and because we were sitting in the bar area she said that someone would wait on up there instead of her as she was near the register. I tried to get others attention at the bar but the other women were to busy discussing their personal lives and seemed to have no interest in us as customers. There were a total of about 8 people in the bar area and none of them seemed to be busy with ordering. Our waitress was more interested in pulling pull tabs from a bin rather than helping us. It seems there is no back ups for the watresses at their stations when they are busy doing other things. I was frustrated with having to wait 10 minutes to order that my wife and I left and didn't even drink our coffee. We both felt that the waitresses did not even want to help us as we've felt that for the last three or four times we've visited. Maybe for me it was a case of jet lag as I had just gotten back from Australia and New Zealand on Friday afternoon. But due to today we will never eat there again. We will have to eat at a different restaurant as we've read some of the other reviews and don't like them either. We will never go there again as we left discouraged.
Great food!. I only wish I lived closer to this place! When I'm hungry for a burger I usually order Gardenburgers because quality and/or taste of meat is bad at most local joints. NOT the case with this place- the meat burgers are awesome! A burger the way a burger should be. I've also had the bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns (served all day)- good stuff! Surprisingly not really greasy. The deep fried shrimp platter is also good...they use great tarter sauce & a spicy cocktail sauce. The staff is friendly and treat you as though you come there daily. All this talk of this yummy food makes me hungy! Pricing about average (typically $7-9 per dish). Enjoy!
Quality steadily declining over time.
I've attended this establishment countless times over the years, and had equally countless good times here. The overall quality of the restaurant has decreased, however, and I would no longer recommend eating here.
Nowadays, in contrast to the past, the bartenders uniformly pour weak drinks. The breakfast is weak. The straw that broke my back and has caused me to stop going here happened the other day: I ordered a plain burger which arrived with mayonnaise. I gave it back to the server, and when it was returned to me, it was apparent that she had simply scraped off as much of the mayonnaise as she could. I dont know if this is standard restaurant practice, but Im sorry, Im a little classier than that. What if I were allergic to the offending sauce?
I got a refund and wont be back, at least for a while.
The people are great. If you are just looking for a kicked back relaxing steak dinner, then this is your place. The employees are just amazing each in their own way! Go check it out.
