The previous review writer is no joke! I tried to get something removed off my credit that I did not know what on there and is less than $100...they flat out refuse!! I asked to speak to a manager and she flat out refused as well! I then asked to speak to her manager and she said that there wasn't one. So I asked to speak to someone higher than her and she said there isn't anyone higher...I said well then who hired you... she said the owner. I said there's no way to get in contact with the owner? And i get a flat out no! WTF!! So yeah...if you haven't talked to anyone about that debt you have! I would just wait the 7 years for it to drop! A bunch of BS!!! Seriously!

Pros: NONE

Cons: not willing to work with anyone!

This firm is a collection company located in Tacoma, Washington. Obviously when most people hear "collection agency" their skin crawls, but this one takes the cake. The sole purpose for the existence of Pacific Northwest Collections appears to be to not only ruin the credit of every consumer in Washington state, but to add salt to that paper cut they refuse to compromise with consumers on any level to resolve said consumers debt! Last year I tried, in earnest to settle out a debt I had that this company had been assigned. Now we're talking about a 4 year old debt that is below 500.00 (including fees/interest)! I offered to pay what I originally owed the original company because that's all the money I had to spend(minus fees/interest the collection agency had added) in exchange for their removal of their tradeline from my credit reports. Keep in mind, this debt isn't worth but a few pennies on the dollar. Also, the FCRA simply states that if a creditor is going to report information on your credit reports, it need only be accurate--nowhere does it state ANY creditor HAS to report! They not only refused my payment, but refused to negotiate the reporting on my credit files. They didn't even offer a counter offer on behalf of their client. I simply got a terse letter demanding "payment in full." I honestly believe that if collection companies would consider negotiating with their clients/debtors on credit file reporting, they'd bring in more money. Alas, this debt remains unresolved. I wrote a letter of apology to the original creditor, explained I'd tried to resolve this issue to no avail. My personal advice, get educated on your debts. Before you pay a dime, research your options! Before you even inquire about a debt, research your options.

Pros: None, absolutely NONE!

Cons: Rigid, uncompromising, refusal to work clients files in a way that would promote resolution.
