The Venue
The metaphor may be a bit stretched, but there's no denying the Tacoma Dome's importance to the so-called "City of Destiny." The dome hosts everything from high school athletics to trade shows to Tacoma Sabercats hockey games. Capacity ranges from as little as 16,300 for soccer games to more than 22,000 for concerts.
The Experience
Now that Seattle's Kingdome is King-dust, the Tacoma dome's huge, white semisphere stands as one of the largest wood-domed structures in the world.
