Multiplex and megaplex theater chain shows mainstream movies in a plush setting..
In Short
In 1920, Edward Durwood opened a single-screen picture house in Kansas City, Mo. Over the next 40 years, his company went on to pioneer the use of four- and six-screen theaters. In 1969, the company incorporated as American Multi-Cinema Inc. in honor of its signature multiplexes. Now, the company is known for theaters with 14 or more screens, as well as innovations such as armrests with built-in cup holders, stadium seating with LoveSeats, ATM-style ticketing and online ticket purchasing.
Loews. This theatre used to be one of our favorites. Lots of screens, convienient and best of all free popcorn refills. Last time we went, to my surprise Loews is now putting a one refill limit on large popcorn! C'mon, when i pay over $35 to get in, and then you charge me over 10 bucks for a few cents worth of soda pop & a few cents worth of popcorn, don't you think that mark up is good enough to cover the overhead without limiting me to one refill? Is a few cents more of popcorn going to break Loews? I have not noticed this policy @ Regal...but i absolutey will be choosing them over Lowes when ever the same movie is playing at both!
Good Selection. I use to go to Lynnwood to get a good selection between the two theaters there. Since this one has been built you don't have to go back and forth to find the movie you want to see. One place has them all! Downside: Most of the time the floors are extremely sticky; and there have been some questionable stains on the seats.
Suprising Selection, Sketchy Projectors.
I am always amazed at the selection that this suburban multiplex carries. Having to regularly travel to Seattle for good cinema, I am pleased to occasionally see "art" films playing here.
My only real complaint with this theater are the projectors: the last few times I have attended a film here, the projectors were titled either too high or too low, cutting off the bottom and top of the screen, respectively. It urks me that I had to leave the film in order to have the problem corrected, but at least the employees were competent enough to know what I was trying to tell them, and then swiftly fix it.
Fun Staff!. I am a regular customer to this theater and I'd like to commend the staff on their upbeat, helpful attitude. They have always assured me on what movie is great and when I should be back in time to get good seats. Sure the tickets are pricey at night, and the concessions can be too, but that's the company's deal. I'm sure that they have to talk with their company's headquarters to change that. Also, as far as the cleanliness of the theater goes. Yes, it could use some work.
Umm whatever. i think woodinville 12 is a great place its not dirty and the empolyee are nice!! maybe cuz i am nice to them in the first place!! i think whoever said those last rating don't kno crap about it its a great place to go and hang with friends and go on a date plus the seats and screens are so much better than other places!!
Poorly maintained.
Use to be good, and could be good a theater again, but first they have to change the management and instill a little pride in the workers.
The attendents I have met are really slack and have no sence of customer service at all.
