Fire the lady at the booth last night(8-7-12). She sent us to the wrong movie. We wanted to watch Ice Age and Dairy of a Whimpy Kid. We ended up watching Ted and Snow White and the Huntsman. She said go straight back, we did, MAKE YOUR DIRECTIONS MORE EXPLICIT !!!!

Great for families with young children. Wow. What a godsend for our family. We have a 2 year old who is the typical loud roudy kid. We'd never think of taking her to a regular theater but at the drive-in she has fun watching the movie and falling asleep in her car seat.

Yes, there was some difficulty with the radio transmitter. We did manage to get it coiled around our car's antenna but there was still interference. We'll try bringing a battery powered radio next time to see if there's an improvement. Even so, the drive-in is a fun night out and we can take our daughter along with us so it's well worth it to us to put up with bad audio.

Satellite Radio's not admitted!!!!. they do not broadcast into parking area it is broadcast through this rediculous coiled wire that you must first figure out a way to get it attached to your care(bring electrical tape), then if you managed to get it attached if you have a newer car with a preinstalled manufacurers sattelite ready radio it is awful, the hum you get overpowers the movie and you just wasted your money for 4hrs of god-awful radio hum and don't forget some other radio station cutting in. Dont ask me how you are suppose to get a handheld radio to work because you still have to get the wire they have hanging there attached to it. Also, the staff they have in the concession area are rediculous!!!!!!! Just spend the money and go to the normal theatre, much more worth the dime then taking the risk.

Drive in double-features!. As with most things in life, this movie experience is what you make of it.

Show up with plenty of drinks and munchies, a comfortable car with a decent stereo and you'll have a great time. If not? well... what'd you expect?! It's a drive-in! :)

All shows are double-feature... occationally tripple depending on the event. Big, clear screen for good movie experience.

Although I fit my muscle-car in there alright, I'd hesitate to take any lowered vehicles into those gravel lots.. the hills that allow you to tip the bumper up and make viewing easier can cause bottoming problems in lowered cars/trucks.

The concession stand is EXPENSIVE... bring your own grub.

Oh yeah, make everyone happy and turn off your parking lights (set the parking brake with the car off, then toggle the key to accessory mode). Making sure you bring jumper cables, roll down the windows and instead of using the AC, and start the car to idle at the movie break will stop you from being "that guy" who doesn't realize you're at a DRIVE in... save your battery. :)

BTW, putting someone in the backseat at a drive-in is probably a bad idea. The only good seats, are FRONT seats. :) Exception is truck beds... back a truck in with a matress in the bed and you can seat plenty.

Serves the basic purpose.. I've been going to Drive-Ins since I was a kid and I love them. When we moved up here from Abilene, Texas, one of the first things we did was look for a drive-in. In Abilene, they have a great one that we loved. We found this one in Auburn. We have been many times in past 2 years and have enjoyed taking our girls. Here's the Pros & Cons:

Pros:

The Pros are that of any Drive-In and are not unique to Valley 6.

*Parents w/ young children are able to have a cost effective way of enjoy two movies. They don't have to worry about keeping their children quiet. Parents and kids can spread out and relax.

Cons:

*Specific parking spots for larger heighth vehicles. Once those select spaces are filled they no longer allow higher vehicles into that movie. You either have to pick a different show or not go to the Drive-In.

*They now charge for children over 3 years old.

*Supposedly no outside food. They have a Snack Bar...this is not cost effective when you have children. Although we take in food everytime. They don't check your vehicles.

*VERY dated speaker system...they still have the wires that have to be connected to your antennas. We found many that no longer had the clips and had to wrap the exposed wires around the antennas. In Abilene, it was done through your radio station and they even had the low frequency insect repellent waves built in.

*You are not suppose to sit outside your vehicles although everyone does. Most just set up camp chairs at their bumpers.

*One of the coolest things in Abilene was that if you liked one feature at one screen but not the second one...you could drive over to another screen and watch the feature you wanted to. They don't allow you to do that here. You are stuck watching the combination they set. That's a little annoying.

Overall, Valley 6 serves it's basic function as a Drive-In. Many improvements could be made, but it's also the only one in the area...soo...you're stuck w/ their set up.

get there early sometimes good movies fill up fast. we love the drive in it is family fun the best part is u get two movies for the price of one very affordable i hope that it never closes down we go almost every weekend love it ya!!!!!!!!! we are going to the drive in tonite!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forget the cineplex and head to the drive-in to see a movie under the stars.. In Short
Six screens show recently released Hollywood films to locals who like the bargain prices and the novelty of sitting in their own car. Added bonus: Not only is the theater cheaper than most multi-plexes, but it shows two movies for the price of one, with film pairings to meet the needs of the audience. Food is available at the theater, including hamburgers, hot dogs and even pizza.

Valley 6 Drive-In (The best summer fun opens 04/06/07). I am so excited about the drive-in opening on Friday. I go every year just about every other week more if possible. It is so much fun. My husband takes the truck and I take the van and we park next to each other. We sit in the van together and the kids take pillows and blankets and sit in the back of the truck. Once in awhile we leave the kids home and get to pretend we are back in high school and go out to dinner and the drive-in. So far all of our experiences have been great. Even if we've seen a movie we'll go just cause it's fun. The people who work there have been nice and the price to get in is pretty cheap especially if you have kids under 12. The popcorn is great. It is accually so good that when we go, my sister has us buy her a bag to give her the next day. The refreshments are a little pricey but well worth it, and the great thing is if you don't want to spend the extra money on drive-in munchies you can bring your own. It's a must do for the summer. There's nothing better than to go to the drive-in on a warm summer night with your windows rolled down to feel the cool, fresh air, eating buttery popcorn, sipping soda watching a good movie accually two since you get two movies for the price of one. Remember the drive-in is opening this Friday 4/6/07 go and have fun.

GREAT FOR A FAMILY NIGHT!! OLD TYME FUN KIDS & PARENTS CAN ENJOY EXPERIENCING TOGETHER!. We took our daughters age 10 & 13 for their first time at a drive-in and had a great time! There were no probs with the staff and we were allowed to sit outside while the girls camped out in the back of our van. It did get a little chilly so I recommend taking some blankets and pillows. I also brought OFF spray for the curious critters. All in all it was fun to be able to enjoy something that is a hard-to-find taste of a bygone era in today's world. I'm glad our kid's got to experience it. The popcorn wasn't too bad either (we brought our own sweets and drinks). My husband & I are going back this weekend for a 'date'!
