I've been many times. Great place to see a semi-first ran movie. Popcorn is always fresh.. family ran. The only drawback is running upstairs to use the bathroom. Other than that its great!

The history of the Des Moines Theater, i.e. Des Moines Cinema, is unique in itself. From neighborhood theater to adults only theatre back to neighborhood theater, it now appears to be approaching the genre of art theater. Hopefully it will continue in attracting the audience, which will grow as long as it shows movies of the caliber of "Frida." The city council should assist in revovation and advertising, if possible, to breath life in this stagnated community. M. Maurin
