I love the Ritz Theater!!! If you want a nice adult night out, this is the theater for you. My husband is an avid movie goer however I would wince at the thought of going to the theater with the unruly teenagers and sticky floors. The Ritz has revived one of my favorite pastimes.
Pros: Ambience and customer service is fantasic
Cons: Parking fills up quickly, so get there a little early

I have to agree with the five star, no kid review. I adore children and family fun. That said, if I want to see the next Shrek installment… I’m not headed to the Ritz with 12 nieces and nephews. The Ritz consistently features thoughtful selections that are less than mainstream and offer pricy refreshments that I usually forego. Yes, I go there because it is purposefully upscale and minorless. It is a wonderful, relaxing treat to go to a movie and not be ogled by hordes of teenagers hooting and cursing or crooning over each other in line. No small children kicking the back or your seat or whining through their parent’s poor decision- taking them to an action flick instead of a nap. There is also the welcome absence of hot cheese nacho burps and spicy shrimp kabobs which does, in fact keep the place less sticky and less pungent than most. The Ritz theaters are civilized and (even if completely contrived) upscale establishments and their efforts to keep it that way are much appreciated. If youngsters do go there, they are well behaved. The truth is that no one is offended by or discriminating against well behaved children and I do not find it distasteful for a theater to request a level of decorum from everyone. Bravo to Ritz. I’ll pay twice as much to go there because it’s a wonderful experience every time.
