In Short – Soon after the first Hyatt hotel opened in Los Angeles in 1957, Hyatt hotels and resorts became known for their dramatic atrium lobbies and their ability to express local flavor. Rooms feature beds with Sealy brand mattresses and down comforters, flat-screen TVs with cable access, wireless Internet, iPod-adaptable alarm clock/radios, Starbucks coffee and Portico bath products. Travelers enjoy the convenience of hotel and airline check-in kiosks, fitness facilities, multiple business centers and ample meeting spaces.

Editor's Tips

The Extras:
It can be hard to stay fit on the road, so Hyatt offers fitness rooms featuring Life Fitness equipment and swimming pools. Runners can check out GPS armbands, which help them stay on track in an unfamiliar city.
Save Money:
Seniors age 62 and older save up to 50 percent on rates at participating Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in the United States and Canada.
Save Time:
Meeting planners will appreciate the ability to receive real-time responses on meeting inquiries via the E-mmediate Response Meetings program. Because Hyatt has a centralized group sales database, information on availability and group rates is available right away.

My favorite Eastside Restaurant

by welchy at Citysearch

I eat here any chance I get. This is definitely the best restaurant on the Eastside. The servers are fantastic especially Chris and the crazy wine guy. (can't remember his name but he totally knows his wines). Yes, it is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The food is always prepared beautifully, the fish is always fresh, the menu is always interesting.

  • Pros: best servers; food is great; wine selection huge
  • Cons: that i can't eat there everyday!:-)

Fantastic wine selection, great food.

by martinenterprises at Citysearch

I don't understand the review about costs. You don't always have to pay more for a good wine but more than often you will. I also am a member at several wineries and the wine selection here is fantastic. I also had a seafood dish and it was great. I think the pricing is very reasonable for what you get. Not to mention the atmosphere is great. The flat screen TV's are place perfectly and the Bartenders were great. I had two glassed of the Big Pappa and the pour size was large. I am a fan of this place and probably always will be.

  • Pros: Great wine list!
  • Cons: I would go there for lunch if I didn't work downtown.

A disappointment

by glrdm at Citysearch

My husband & I love wine - we're members of wine clubs, attend local wine events, and do our best to support local vitners. We are also huge fans of good food, both making it, and enjoying the fruits of others' labor. We were looking forward to using a recently received gift certificate at this restuarant... but, what a letdown!

The wine, while good, was priced substantially higher than other local wine bars. We each ordered a flight, and the men had an extra glass of wine each. The food was mediocre. I had the seared Ahi, my husband had the Halibut special. - both were fairly expensive, and neither was more than simply satisfactory. The table our group of 4 was placed at was so small, it could barely contain our wine flights, bread basket and shared appetizers (just two) (much less our menus and utensils).

Two highlights: excellent service by our waitress and delicious desserts. In the end, however, I was shocked to see that our bill came to almost $500.00. The experience in no way matched the expense. I will not be returning.

Fun, romantic wine bar.

by seattlesteph at Citysearch

My boyfriend and I went here last night and we had a great time. I will admit that the service was a little slower than I like but they were extremely busy and getting ready for a live music show. The small plates offered in the bar were done very well and I was able to order some wine by the "taste" in a smaller, 2 oz. portion. If you enjoy seafood, order the sashimi scallops. That was one of the best dishes I've had anywhere. We got there early, at about 8:30 and the live music started around 9:15. I think we will definitely be going back again.

  • Pros: Great wine selection, small plates were delicious, live music was great.
  • Cons: Service was a little slow, but it was a Saturday night.
