What People Are Saying About Key Arena

In Short – Though it lacks the awe-inspiring beauty of the Gorge, the recently refurbished Key possesses one particular advantage for concergoers: A prime urban location. A 17,000-person capacity pretty much guarantees a lockdown on popular artists, from Tina Turner to the Beastie Boys. As often is the case with larger sports-oriented venues, consistent acoustics aren't a strong point--the pounding of Sonics' basketballs may come through more clearly than your favorite singer's backing band.

Basketball court, not concert hall

by DanFazio_Citysearch

A fine place to watch the Supersonics. However, a crappy place to watch any type of concert. From almost any seat, the sounds--particularly vocals--are muddled.
