In Short
Kids gravitate to the graffiti-splashed play barn of pipes, cogs and engines--rusty leftovers from the gas plant's 1906 beginnings. Kayakers glide to the rocky shoreline for picnics, while land lubbers spread out blankets for picnics or watch seaplanes taking off from or touching down on Lake Union. Cyclists, runners and walkers meet here to start workouts on the Burke-Gilman Trail. The large, windy hill in the middle is a kite-lover's paradise.

Gas Works is a good park. At first, I really thought the whole pipes thing was a little strange..I guess I still think that, but it doesnt bother me as much. The sundial is cool. Besides the pipes, it's still a great park to go walking. Also, it's a good place to watch fireworks if you can stand the crowds

Another unique place to visit in Seattle is Gasworks Park. It is fun for a picnic and a day outing, right near the city. The Fourth of July Celebration is amazing and worth doing at least once.

This is a unique park right in the heart of Seattle. It's an awesome spot to be on the 4th of July for all of the great fireworks shows and there are a lot of fun events that take place there.
