Don't Believe Everything That You Read....
Ok, this place has an excellent location! You can't beat the ambience of having trains passing by and ferries sailing away in the distance. It's a quaint place that is great for a romantic date.
Now, onto the rest of the place. This is one that a friend and I visited based on all of the rave reviews praising Sahib's many virtues. I have to say that I didn't see them. We were there for dinner so I can't comment on the lunch buffet. The service seemed to be really slow on an early Friday evening, when it was busy but not full. It took one hour before we were even able to order our meals. We ordered the "sampler" appetizer with a mix of different pieces. There was a battered broccoli that seemed to be fried or baked with the batter on. It was not listed as one of the samples, but was really tasty. The rest was ok. My beer remained empty for the rest of the 2 hours we sat there without an offering of another. My water remained empty for quite some time until I flagged someone down. The entrees were bland and seemed to lack any spices that would have added much flavor and excitement to the dishes. There was just not much to the flavors of the dishes we had. I believe I had a vindaloo that had no kick to it at all.
This meal lasted through 5 trains passing in what should have been a 2 train meal. The service seemed to be lacking and the food was lacking in much flavor.

Love, love, love this place!. I have been an avid fan for at least three years. The food is amazing, the setting and location are delightful, and the price can't be beat. It runs a little high for dinner, but the lunch buffet is the best I've ever had. It's extremely clean (especially considering the buffet style service) and the food is always fresh and hot (or cool for the yummy mango custard). Every one I've ever taken to this restaurant has come away full and happy (including my finicky 9 year-old son). I can't say enough positive things about this place.
Wonderful Indian cuisine. Authentic Indian food in a nice, comfortable restaurant. Good price to boot.
Beautiful View Great Food. Sahib has fantastic views looking out over the sound and the Edmonds ferry terminal. The service is good and the food is wonderful. For a great value check out the Sunday Buffet.
The Sunday buffet is delish!. The Sunday lunch buffet is really worth the drive. It's maybe eight very well executed entrees, of which the lentils are just outstanding. The owner also makes these little house-special cornmeal cakes with custom-sprinkled seasoning (he fries them and seasons them for you right there at the buffet.) Bonus: on a sunny day, they're right across the street from a public beach.
