Much improved from my first review. It seems my gripes were heard. (read my original review below) I recently came back to try again and everything was spot on. The service was nice and smooth and the food was much better than last time. The BEST service was from the floor staff..the behind the counter folks were still a bit stiff and bothered..but the people running and working the floor were super helpful and nice.

This is welcome news as the decor is amazing and is a really fun place to meet friends and clients. Hopefully this is a sign of still more service and food quality improvement in the future.

My old review:

Previous headline:

Come on guys... let's kick it back in gear..

I am a patient person....but come on.

I have eaten here quite a bit...and each time I go it seems to get steadily worse...in both quality of food and attentiveness of service.

I am getting a little fed up with the hipster crowd these days...I'm totally down for the ones who actually like to work and do their job and can also give the vibe of current cool..but I'm not down for the ones who just want to look the part and "stand there". If you really don't want to work...go sit at any local coffee shop or ride your fixie bike.

I recently ordered two lunches and 3 coffees to go. The coffees came out fairly quickly..but the food took over 20 minutes (two salads..yes...SALADS...) and the coffee was cold by the time they were brought to the counter.

The only saving grace was the ONE person who said "thank you for the wait...how bout a cookie?" That person is the only one who gets a hug from me.

Seriously.

Oddfellows is a super cool restaurant (the design elements are fantastic) that deserves kick ass neighborhood service.

Please don't fall the wayside of trying to be too cool for school...doing your job consistently without fuss MAKES you cool.

Welcome to the fraternity!. The feel of an old fraternity's cafeteria, Oddfellows can provide a great lunch option or late night drinking spot. In a space that looks like an old warehouse, with fir floors and long communal tables this venue creates a welcoming space for the casual diner and drinker alike.

Although a small menu, the selection provide a variety of the well known (Potato Leak Soup, Rotisserie Chicken) and the unique (Buffalo Fried Chicken Livers, Lamb Ragout). The coffee leaves something to be desired and the alcohol choices are limited, but this venue, otherwise, offers great place to get to know your neighbor.

Being located in a busy part of Capitol Hill, there are many shopping and activity options nearby, but there is also very limited parking.

Oddfellows is not odd at all!. I recently visited Oddfellows with a friend of mine with the sole purpose of getting a bite to eat, sipping on a cold libation, and knitting. Yes, knitting. The best part about walking into this wide-open friendly restaurant is that to our left a couple noshed on a fresh hummus platter while playing cribbage while their neighbor to the left sat solo sipping on a cappuccino while surfing the internet. We knew that we'd fit right in.

As soon as you walk in you feel like your visiting your best friend and they've been expecting you. We stepped up to the counter and rattled the first dish that made our mouth water and ordered a couple drinks as well. Then it was off to secure one of the quaint little table in their small yet adorable back patio that is reminiscent of Brooklyn on a summer's day.

The waitstaff was polite, the drinks were stiff yet flavorful, the food was fresh tasting and overall, we had an excellent time! Will surely be stopping by again soon!

AMAZING FOOD, PEOPLE, AND COMMITTMENT TO COMMUNITY. Oddfellows ROCKS!!!! The space is incredible. The staff are fantastic - friendly, attentive, cool. I go there almost daily to work, eat (love the pulled pork and chicken salad sandwich), meet with people and soak in the good vibe. AND Linda and the Oddfellows crew are incredibly philanthropic. Recently they sponsored the Equalityoga event on June 27th. Linda is deeply committed to creating great establishments, creating a cool and welcome vibe in Seattle and ensuring we are a healthy and thriving community. I love all of Linda's establishments but Oddfellows is definitely my favorite. I highly recommend it.

Great place, blend food. I have tried the specials, such as the tuna sandwich (which had no flavor), the baked eggs were ok, but didn't even come with bread and for $8 it's over-priced - the strata is a joke! It's basically a piece of bread with some cheese on top. I would say, if you want to be on your computer, drink a coffee and have a scone, this is the right place for that- but skip the food, unless they really get it right in the near future.
