Their tofu banh mi is a tad overstuffed with a big block of tofu, but overall the flavors are solid & good value for quick eat on the Ave.
Excellent food, friendly service. The restaurant serves excellent food at more than reasonable prices. Pho is excellent, but try the hot and sour seafood soup if you are looking for variety. Staff is very friendly and obviously take pride in their venture. The place is clean and the service is fast. Great place for health-conscious students on the budget
Excellent service, good cheap eats.
I was happy to find this cozy place on the Ave. You may have to wait for a table during lunch when the students are in town, but it's worth the wait. Large parties may have to wait longer for a table and for orders to come out.
I've been here a few times now, and I don't think I've been disappointed about anything. Sandwiches for under $3? And they're good! (Though I would recommend the grilled meats over the "ham".) Grab a sandwich and a small Pho (soup) for an affordable filling meal. The Banh Xeo (seafood crepe-type thing) is not the best I've had, but it's quite good for the price.
The staff is attentive and very friendly, and if you go in a second time, chances are they'll remember the first time you were there. In all, if you're looking for good, affordable Viet cuisine, this is a great pick for you.
Great variety, great service, authentic Vietnamese food. Though it doesn't look like much from the outside, Thanh Vi is possibly the best Vietnamese restaurant on the Ave (and I've eaten at them all), particularly because they offer much more than just Pho. This place is a must-try for those who have never had a taste of Vietnamese cuisine aside from Pho. I'd suggest going family style and sharing dishes such as grilled pork or beef spring rolls, Vietnamese hot and sour soup, and the mango and shrimp salad. There is a waitress there who is one of the most friendly and helpful waitresses I've ever ecountered. With the combination of authentic Vietnamese cuisine, wide variety of dishes, and the great customer service, my friends and I have become regulars and won't go to any other place on the Ave for Vietnamese food.
Editorial Review. Popular Vietnamese spot on the Ave serves affordable sandwiches, noodle dishes, pho and other traditional dishes.
