Editorial Review for Old Navy – by Citysearch Staff

In Short
The family-friendly chain is the third in a lineage of reasonably priced clothing stores (Banana Republic and the Gap are the older siblings). Huge, loft-like spaces and disco soundtracks make shopping here an upbeat experience. Men's, women's and children's jeans share space with khakis, T-shirts, sweaters, sleepwear, outerwear and seasonal items, such as ski hats, swimsuits and Halloween costumes.

Insider Tips

All full up

If the women's dressing room is full, try the third floor baby's and toddlers dressing room; likewise for cash registers, since there are some on each floor.

Right down the street

The Gap is on 4th Avenue and Banana Republic is on 5th.

This old navy, in my opion, is the best Old navy in the seattle area. The selection is huge...there are a wide selection of jeans, shirts, dress shirts, pants, sportwear, and other casual wear. Each department is pretty large and you can find something for everyone in your family. Their prices are pretty reasonable. They also always have excellent sales during the holidays.

Pros: Huge selection, great prices, nice salespeople

If your looking for a pair of go-go boots for a drag queen, try the Metro. But if you're looking for an inexpensive selection of plain tees and jeans, Old Navy's the place. You can spend $10 on a pretty cool tee, or $30 on a pair of jeans. I have some 3/4 pants from there that I've had for 2 1/2 years that are still in great condition, and I wear them almost every day as my chill-wear. I've since lost some weight, so they're pretty baggy, but still very nifty!

Pros: Inexpensive, Not uncool

Cons: Sweat-Shop Made?
