Editorial Review for Waterfront Activities Center at the University of Washington – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
When UW students need a break from the dreary library, they grab an oar and go paddling in Lake Washington. Patrons choose between a canoe or rowboat, head across the Montlake Cut, duck under the 520 floating bridge and explore the lilypadded lagoons near the Arboretum's Foster Island. Lifejackets and oars are included in the rental fee; the staff provides an area map and will gladly offer tips on traversing the Cut.
