Editorial Review for Attic Alehouse and Eatery – by Kathy Schultz
The Scene
It's definitely a neighborhood bunch out for a beer and a bite, but even interlopers are warmly welcomed in this woody, well-lit but not too bright bar. Take a seat at the bar and watch them hustle in the kitchen, share a table with other beer drinkers or grab one of the more private booths. Wherever you sit you'll have a view of the tube since there are eight strategically placed TVs for catching a game.
The Draw
Decent chicken wings, sandwiches and burgers go well with the healthy selection of brews (including some from the U.K.), but skip the pre-fab fries. If you're in the mood for dinner, try one of the nightly rotating specials or menu standards: spaghetti and meatballs, lasagne, seafood dishes and the totally tender prime rib on Saturday night.

I had written something much longer as an email complaint to send to The Attic. Unfortunately (surprise, surprise) their email address is invalid. This seems consistent with their lack of concern for customers. I have eaten here a number of times, and always thought the food was very good, and the service not great, but acceptable. But this week, I received service rude enough that I probably will not go back again. We were treated with impatience, attitude, and confrontational behavior. I can only echo the sentiments of those other negative reviews on this page. Everything I wanted to say about it has been said by others below. I frequent a number of pubs around Seattle from time to time, and comparing "apples and apples" I would much rather go somewhere like Cooper's in Maple Leaf, for similar quality food, and respectful service.
Pros: good food, especially burgers and beer, nice location in Madison Park
Cons: incredibly obnoxious service that overshadows all pros

This worthless dump is the most pretentious bar in Seattle. I love Madison Park, but this dump needs to be AVOIDED. The wait staff do not pay attention to customers, constantly blab blab blab about personal business behind the bar while customers are waiting for drinks, food, and act like hipsters when you finally do order. Ask around..this place is a piece of crap..DO NOT GO THERE.....it's a dump..and the wait staff are slow and lazy fools.
Cons: terrible service, average food, worthless wait staff...AVOID THIS DUMP
