A great room, solid food and a wonderful atrium and deck make this Cap Hill room buzz.

Like most things that have been around awhile, this restaurant has morphed and changed from its original incarnation off Broadway. The current space is ridiculously beautiful and the food is still good, despite the venue's ability to serve (at least) three times as many diners. Don't expect the same food you knew back in the day, but expect a warm and welcoming space to have a lovely evening.
My Seattle favorite: lasagna verde & service.
Come for the flavorful, delicate, and consistently wonderful lasagna verde, the consistently-wonderful service from lovely Rhianna, and the warm feel-at-home vibe of this pretty restaurant.
I've noticed how the jovial owner treats his customers and employees, I feel welcome and that my business is valued - even when they're busy!
Lots of good choices in Seattle, but for the warm vibe and service, La Spiga is my favorite.
(I posted a picture of the Lasagna Verde)
Elegant & Romantic Setting with Great Food. Osteria la Spiga is everything you could want in an Italian restaurant. Its beautiful, elegant, dramatic with great food and service. Perfect for happy hour (plus it goes until 6:30!) or for dinner. They make great recommendations on wine so definitely ask!
Love, love, love this place.
When my husband and I get a chance to go out for dinner, we almost always go to La Spiga.
The place is huge so despite always being crowded, it doesn't feel overwhelming. They have fantastic booths that are great for couples or parties of four and big tables great for larger parties. There's always a buzz in the place, which is fun. The restaurant has huge windows and an outside patio.
I crave their insalata mista and their gnocchi pomodoro. My husband loves their meat dishes. Their dishes are often simple and really delicate in flavor. They have a huge wine list and the last time we asked our server for help choosing a bottle, she suggested an excellent wine at one of the lowest price points -- much appreciated.
The service is good -- never too friendly and never unfriendly in my experience. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey -- we almost always spend $130-150 for the two of us.
That said, I simply love this place--have never had a bad experience or found the food to be anything but great after over 20 times. I am surprised at some of the really strong negative reviews.
Seattle's Best Italian Food. Not only the best food but an amazing atmosphere. Very sophisticated but unpretentious.
Great space bad everything else. The space is so beautiful I was expecting the food to be at least decent, and the service to match. But I was completely wrong! The food had a terrible presentation, and tasted like mash. The wait staff is very rude. They act like you are an annoyance. In fact while we were waiting for our food to come, my server and all the other wait staff, managers included were sitting at the bar and having drinks! This is so unprofessional. All in all, save your money…go somewhere else!
Fantastic Italian. Great example of fine Italian right here in Seattle...
Not that great. I am a huge Italian food fan, I was not impressed with the food, it was lacking flavor. Our table was covered in dust so much that my throat is still itchy. There are many Italian food places in the Seattle area that are less expensive with much better flavor.
BAD BAD BAD save your $ dont go even if it is the last place.
the food was realy BAD, under cooked Lamb! bleeding! discusting, i tried one bite almost through up!. i ate pasta. instead. they charged full price for both plates.
Forget it, stay home hungry, dont go there!
A Restaurant With An Attitude. I ate at La Spiga for the third time just recently (after staying away for quite a while) and sadly, came away with the same conclusion I had the first two times. The atmosphere is fabulous, the menu and wine list are intriguing, and the food is very good. Unfortunately, this all gets overshadowed by the attitude that seems to be pervasive among the wait staff and management. Basically, everyone seems to be just a little put out, too busy or simply snotty about being in the customer service business. Considering there are literally hundreds of excellent restaurants in the city I would rather take my hard earned money somewhere that makes me feel welcome.
Yum!. We stopped by on a Saturday night, no reservations and they were able to seat 4 of us in the bar right away. First time I had been there, food was excellent, server was helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the lasagna, probably the BEST I have ever had.
