Salsas Deliciosas. Excellent sauces are the reason to go to Tia Lou's. The Enchiladas Rojas are deep deep deep red and rich with new mexico chilis. Also they have a great deck, serviceable margaritas, and great chilis rellenos.
Snobby owner, we won't be back.
Saturday night, after a fabulous meal at Harvest Vine, my wife and I, and another couple, went to Tia Lous for drinks.
Upon arrival, the doorman said that although they dont allow shorts, we looked okay and could go in. Then a shady-looking man (the owner) told the bouncer to tell us to leave due to my friend and I wearing shorts. Friend asked owner to address inconsistency. Meanwhile, different doorman told me I could go in anyway.
Since the owner was quite rude and arrogant, we decided on principle not to go to Tia Lous.
Instead, we got drinks at the Pampas Room at El Gaucho. A place that knows that service wins repeat business.
We live in Belltown and will not go back to Tia Lous for dinner or otherwise. If you want the best Mexican food without a snobby attitude, go to El Nino up the street.
Great belltown spot. If you like beuatiful people this place is great. If you like a well dressed crowd and good drinks. Itf you want cheap drinks and dirty women goto the square. I am not a huge fan of house music but the environment was worth it. Bartenders were fast and made good drinks.
Best in Town. Best Mexican meal in Seattle, and I have tried them all. Next to Maria, my favorite in Puerto Vallarta, these are the best Chili Rellanos around. Now a dance club at night, in order to survive, try dining a lilttle earlier and enjoy.
