Citysearch Editorial Review. Conveniently located just 30 minutes from Seattle, this rustic lodge—with its reclaimed timber and stone fireplaces—is close enough for a city staycation but comfortably situated in Woodinville wine country for out-of-towners as well. Spacious guest rooms echo the natural surroundings; down duvets, gas fireplaces and huge soaking tubs make it infinitely more comfortable than camping outdoors, though. The other perks? In-room dining is provided by neighboring bistro Barking Frog, and the Herbfarm (perhaps the most recognized fine dining destination in the greater Seattle area) is just steps from the lobby. When you’re not relaxing in your room or dining at one of the nearby restaurants, spend your time cuddling the mascot: one deliciously adorable pup named Ruthie.

Bad experience. Unless you plan on being part of the loud group of drunken idiots who goes tubbing at 2am then immediately demand a new room if you're placed anywhere near the jacuzzi. Why it isn't locked afterhours is simply inexplicable. Guests should not have to deal with that kind of nonsense at $300/night.

** Update **

A representative of the hotel contacted me via email shortly after our stay. The representative was most apologetic and assured me that our first experience was an aberration. I accepted his offer to give Willows Lodge another shot and I will update this review again once my wife and I have had a chance to return. In the meantime, I'll bump the review by a star to reflect the effort on their part to make amends.

Wine Me, Dine Me, above all Else Romance Me. Romantic charm in the heart of Woodinville Wine Country! The Willows Lodge exemplifies a luxury appeal to couples seeking out a place for sanctuary and above all else, Love. The intimate rooms are well appointed with fireplaces, LCD TVs, Patios/Decks, a soaking tub with separate walk in shower, and French Press maker. Every detail has been thought of as you begin your enchanting stay. From creative cuisine that can only invigorate your palate, to an extensive seductive wine and dessert list, love is purely in the air. Experiencing the richness of The Willows Lodge will leave you feeling utterly relaxed and intimate. The 24 hour secluded outdoor spa is an oasis of pleasure. Whatever your heart's desire while at the Willows Lodge, make the time significant. From the simplicity of lying in bed watching a romantic comedy, to dining in the comfortable Fireside Lounge, my visits to The Willows Lodge have always been remarkable. February is 1 month out of 12 that we may celebrate love. My advice, escape to The Willows Lodge and indulge!

LOVED IT. My husband and I stayed at Willows Lodge for our anniversary and had a wonderful, romantic time! Beautiful, stylish and cozy rooms -similar decor to Sun Mountain lodge which we love. The most comfortable and luxe bed ever and adorable fireside lounge downstairs with great food from the barking frog. Overall, cozy and romantic!

Garden view is great. We stayed in the largest room for a special birthday celebration. They gave us complimentary wine tasting for my honey's birthday. The dinner was too expensive for what they offered, but was otherwise good. The room is huge, nice seperate shower and bath/soaking tub. Very romantic with the fireplace in the room. I hope to go back again.

Worst. Hotel. Ever.. This was the worst hotel experience I have had in my life.

On the plus side, the hotel is very attractive and we enjoyed the food. The hotel booked us in a room next to the banquet facility where a wedding was taking place - our room was surrounded by wedding guests. The hotel was unable or unwilling to move us to a room where we could have peace and quiet.

If you go here, you must insist that you not be in any of the ground floor rooms next to the banquet facilities if you want to get any sleep. The hotel should only be using these rooms for banquet guests - it should not offer them to any other guests unless they aren't using the banquet rooms.

Overall, it is way too expensive for the shabby treatment we received.

This rustic, yet refined, lodge is a treat for the soul and senses.. In Short
Nestled in the Sammamish River Valley, the reclaimed timber and a 30-foot-tall stone fireplace create an ambience of Northwest warmth and hospitality. Spacious guest rooms also carry an air of natural simplicity and elegance, featuring beautiful woodwork, walls bathed in warm tones of olive and eggshell, gas fireplaces and luxurious soaking tubs (with an unobstructed view of the 27-inch TV). Cozy beds offer lambswool mattress pads, down duvets and luxurious, 300-plus thread-count Italian linens.

A relaxing getaway only minutes from Seattle!. We LOVE this place. It's less than 30 mins from Seattle, but it feels like you are worlds away. The rooms are beautifully designed, the outdoor hot pool in an asian garden setting is like heaven on earth, and you can even order room service from the Barking Frog. Perfect for a weekend getaway without the hassle of a long drive/flight.

PS Don't forget to check out the pigs they have in their garden which is owned by the Herbfarm!!!

Not 100%. The Lodge is lovely, rooms beautiful. The tub IS right in the room, with only a glass wall separating it from sleeping area. Cool high tech shower- just punch in the temperature you want! King size bed, but a too soft, sagging mattress. No top sheet- just a comforter with (washable) duvet. So during the summer it's be too warm or sleep uncovered. The lighting requires an instruction manual to operate- takes a day or two to get the hang of it. There were problems with our reservation- I booked online and ended up with a spa package on a day the spa was closed- and they had trouble finding my reservation- but it worked out.
