Our FAVORITE Place to go in Seattle............... We LOVE Pike Place and we go so often that several of the vendor's know us on site. They've even gottin to know us to the point that they know what we want when we come here. We only buy our meat's from Fero's Meat's and our Apple Chicken Sausage from Uli's Sausage Place. We've been eating their sausage for almost 3 year's now. We buy our Vegetable's from the Manzo Bro's stand. The folk's here have gone above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and they really welcomed us to Seattle. Then there's my grandaughter's favorite man, Mr.Allen. He's at the fruit and vegetable stand just across the way from Manzo Bro's. He's really patient with us when we come there. He has the fruit roll's and their the best.

We also Love the Tenzing Momo Shop also. That is the only place I buy my body oil's from.

So if your ever in Seattle you gotta come to Pike Place Market. Trust me you won't ever regret it.

This open-air shopping haven is a mecca for authentic merchants straight out of the Northwest's past.. The Experience
The market is all about the essential sights, smells, sounds and tastes of Seattle. See fish from around the world neatly displayed. Smell flowers from local farmers. Hear street performers strumming guitars, blowing saxophones and singing a cappella. Taste honeys, nuts and other foods from local vendors. Sunny, dry weekdays are best for lingering at the market--weekends can get pretty crowded.

The Background
In 1907, produce prices increased due to middlemen taking higher profits. To combat this problem, the city created this market where the consumer could "meet the producer." Today, the market boasts more than 100 produce vendors and wares from more than 200 artists. Additionally, Pike Place is one of the city's most sophisticated dining areas.

You have to go when you visit Seattle. Pike place is as much a part of Seattle as the space needle. If you are visiting or even live in seattle, you have to go. For me, I thought it was ok. I liked looking at the things that the vendors and the shops were selling..but they were expensive. It's a good place to buy flowers tho. I have only been there a couple of times..and for me, it was enough

Tourist fave, local mob scene/. Definitely a must if you've never been to Seattle, because everything you could want from the city is available in this half-mile stretch of covered booths. But if you've seen the sights and are just here for the produce, avoid the fanny-pack packed weekends and be sure to go in the morning, the produce is at its freshest and the vendors are more available to talk and barter.
