why pay for the view?. salty's may have a great view- however... the food was less than what you would expect for the price. The waitstaff is anything but attentive.
Fresh Food, Fresh View. For a Special Ocassion this is the special place View was great, food was even better Service could have been a little less smothering But for the most part an enjoyable place if your willing to spend the $$$
Not Again.
Several weeks ago we went to Salty's ordered the steamed clams in pesto. Was not eidable. This is the second time we have gone to Slaty's and the second time we have been really disappointed.
Stick to the bar, enjoy the view but skip the food.
Way overated.
Great Views & Happy Hour.
The best place to go for views of the Seattle skyline; the view at this Salty's are superb.
The calamari appetizer is light and tasty; all the rest of the food I've had here is fine (nothing incredible, but satisfyingly just what you'd expect).
If you think the prices are outrageous, sit in the lounge or on the deck during happy hour. There, you can enjoy beautiful views, great service, and good food, all at a reasonable price.
Seattle Sunset & Succulent Salmon!. MY DATE & I HAD A FABULOUS TIME AT SALTY'S. Our table provided us with a breathtaking view of a gorgeous Seattle sunset on the city. In addition the appetizers were to die for, tiger prawns with a coconut breading, great calamari and tasty crab cakes! Then the entrees, for my date the Halibut with a portabella mushroom that had been marinated and prepared for two days (According to our personal wine steward, who was very engaging and knowledgeable). I had the king salmon, which I eat quite often and I must say Salty's chefs did a marvelous job preparing the fish. We finished off with a brilliant white chocolate topped cake, which was delicious as well. Our night at Salty's was a very memorable one and I'd highly recommend it to anyone.
Never again. We used to take out of town visitors here, but it's gotten SO extremely expensive for mediocre food that we don't go to Salty's anymore. Just take the water taxi to West Seattle and eat somewhere cheaper with nicer service and less sticker shock!
the seafood thats salty. If only the food matched the view. Over priced a Big dissapointment.
