Editorial Review for Fado Irish Pub – by Allison Austin
The Scene
Packed to the gills with Irish memorabilia, Fado (pronounced fa-DOE) is part of a nationwide chain and certainly looks the part. The after-work crowd is right at home, sipping Guinness with co-workers, as are the frat and sorority alums in various stages of saucy that frequent the place as the week wears on.
The Draw
Along with the usual pub fare, there's a wide range of menu items, from curried chicken and Asian salmon to traditional Irish dishes like shepherd's pie and boxty (potato pancakes rolled and stuffed with a choice of fillings). Most people come for the liquid attractions: large 20-ounce pints of Irish ales including Caffrey's, Boddington's, Murphy's and (of course) Guinness, and a nice range of Irish whiskeys and scotches, including Laphroaig, Jamison and Glenfiddich.

Best corned beef and cabbage I've ever had that wasn't cooked by someone's grandma, and unlike some of the other "Irish" pubs around Seattle they can actually pour a pint. I was so impressed that when I was on a road trip recently I looked up all the Fado pubs that were anywhere near my route and stopped in for dinner and a few pints at all of them, none of them disappointed.
Pros: Great food, pints poured right, nice atmosphere during the day.
Cons: Can be very crowded at night, in WA state so there's no smoking inside.

Love the new late night happy hour! I can always find a place to eat late on the weekends, but never mid-week. But Fado now serves their happy hour and full appetizers until 1. I love the friendliness of the staff and the pints of Guinness are great! Now even more reasons to hang out there.
Pros: late night food, free wi-fi
