The Scene – In the dim evening light, swagged in deep-blue velvet and nestled into the first floor of an apartment building, the dining room is dramatic and elegant. Groups of casually clad families and friends linger over plates of steaming pasta and bottles of Chianti. Servers are friendly, helpful and provide an unusually warm welcome for children. – – The Food – Plan to order every course; each one is worth sampling. Start with the antipasto plate, an assortment of quality prosciutto and various noshes: marinated eggplant, bruschetta, fava beans, tomatoes and…
Authentic Italian, Intimate Setting
by jooz
My wife and I went here the other day, and although I'm not a huge fan of Bellevue in general, we greatly enjoyed Andiamo's Italian authenticity, the romantic setting and wine. We had a delicious and romantic dinner. Not sure what this person below was complaining about, sounds like a foodie with a bone to pick. I'd say this place was fantastic, despite the fact that it's located in Bellevue ;)
- Pros: Beautiful sumptous food
- Cons: none
Our visit was a poor experience in food quality

After a bad incident ~8 years ago at this restaurant, my husband and I finally returned recently to give Andiamos another try. This second experience confirmed that we won't return again. We were seated at a table that was directly opposite the front door on a very cold night. The draft each time the door was opened was chilling and made our seating arrangements uncomfortable. The hors de oeuvres we ordered (SMOKED SALMON PUGLIESE TOASTS) were very good, but a portion of the hors de oeuvres contained butter, in place of what should've been cream cheese. I don't know if this happened by accident in the kitchen, or whether they'd run out of cream cheese, but 1/2 way through the appetizer, we realized that the recipe wasn't quite right, and not nearly as good as the first 1/2 we tried. For the main course, the veal piccata was EXTREMELY fatty and contained a lot of gristle throughout the meat. It was awful, and a very poor cut of meat. The pasta that came on the side-dish tasted very similar to Spaghettios (we did not eat any of this). But, the vegies were delicious, and we ate every bite! All in all, we were very disappointed in the meal, and won't be visiting them again. The dining establishment itself is romantic and the wait staff was very attentive however, so we have zero complaints about that! Maybe if we had ordered something else on the menu, it would've been better...
- Pros: Ambience, Romantic, Quaint
- Cons: Poor Food Quality
Great Dinner

I went to Andiamo Restaurant last night with a couple of friends and we all agreed this was the best meal we had in a long time. We were impressed with the large display of Italian wines on the central table as well. The staff was attentive and the atmosphere relaxing and friendly. In general a very good experience. Two thumbs up for Andiamo!
- Pros: Authentic, friendly
- Cons: I can't think of anything
