Slow service, strong flavors. We had a fairly bad waiter service, not too friendly and *very* slow. The food was very strongly spiced, not to my taste (and I love spicy food), very rich, like they were trying to cover up the ingredients, and everything kind of tasted the same. The kids mac and cheese (which they made on request, very nice of them) was the best thing any of us ordered. I had wanted to try this place but won't be an eager repeat customer. Good bread though.
Special Birthday. Last night was my birthday and 10 friends joined me at the Ravioli Station. When we arrived, our table was set and ready for us. The waitress suggested an amazing bottle of wine, even though it was one of the cheaper options on the menu. Some of the guests had beer, others had cocktails and we all had salad and dinner. The bill was right at $200! What a value. The owner baked us cookies for a birthday treat and bought the table drinks. I felt like a princess! I'm shocked that the rating on here says it's not good for groups. It was fantastic all around. : )
No service. I had looked forward to trying the raviolli station and was pleased that it was not busy when we arrived. We were told to seat ourselves, we did... and we waited and waited and waited. I would have understood had it been busy or they had been understaffed. This was not the case. Nobody even looked at us so we could catch their eye. Over 20 minutes later we were approached. She said hello and that she would get us water and bread. I said we were ready to order...she turned around and walked away. The bread and water never arrived. Our order was never taken. We waited and waited and waited. We decided if we were going to eat that night we better leave. We did. I doubt they even noticed...
Delicious!. We ordered the ravioli sample platter and the prawn, kalamata olive spaghetti. Both dishes we experienced an explosion of flavors. Delicious and very fresh! I want the recipes! Our server told us that they have live music on Thursday nights. We will be back!
Flavor explosion.
The food was very good. I ordered the sampler platter, which I would not do again, too many flavors all happening at once. The individual flavors I could identify were verfy good. The rest of my party's ordered individual dishes and they all agreed food was good (maybe a little heavy on sauce). Atmosphere was great, how can you go wrong with a bar that is build like an inline six, pistons and all?!? And a heated rail? Amazing!
Portions are a good size. Prices are higher than oher reviews say. Ravioli dishes are 9.95 - 11.95 plus $2 for salad. Not quite the Ravioli and salad for under $10 one reviewer said.
Favorite take out. Odd location, but convenient; unusual decor, but pleasant; erratic service, but very nice; live music on Friday nights, but noisy; the food is amazing and the prices are low. Great salad, wonderful chowder, excellent appetizers followed by freshly-made pasta.
Lab1959. It's definetly a great place to go. We take our kids once a week. Very affordable, and the food, far surpasses most restaurants around. Highly recommended.
Best Ravioli!!. We've been here several times and have always been pleased with the food. The ravioli are homemade and are very plump with filling. The cheese and the smoked salmon (made with in house smoked salmon) are my favorites. My husband always orders their peppercorn steak, which is excellent too. It's a great value, considering it comes with an excellent choice of soup or salad and homemade bread with seasoned olive oil. The ambiance needs a lot of help though.
very tasty ravioli. Spotted the place on a drive-by and went back to check out the ravioli. The sampler platter was great for getting an idea of all the offerings and ample in size, the bread was delicious, and the salad dressing was excellent - they should bottle it! The ambiance inside was also very relaxing and comfortable. We've recommended it to others already and we'll definitely be back.
I like the place.
I think for the money, this is one of the better deals I've seen in Seattle so far. Casual, but clean. Good service. Very good ravioli. Decent salad. More bread please d:-)
Is better than it looks from the outside, but they did just paint the outside, um, a shade of yellow.
I never left this place unhappy...
