The Scene
The spacious multilevel bar and restaurant flows together gracefully as bubble-themed glass art cascades down the walls. Deep, muted colors, snug booths and high ceilings combine elegance and comfort. Quiet solo diners are common, but boisterous larger groups are standard during conventions. Lunch servers are a casual bunch, but dinner pulls out the stops--no matter how many full tables, there's enough staff to keep up with the rush.
The Food
A seasonal menu highlights local ingredients combined for intense contrasts of texture and flavor. Chunky beets and Maytag blue cheese hits the right sweet-salty note; continue on to either a tender Kobe steak with tangy balsamic reduction or a standard slab of ahi, accompanied by roasted peppers stuffed with sweet, buttery crab. Desserts are more spicy than sweet, and include a smooth Cream of Wheat cake with Ceylon cinnamon ice cream and a crepe-wrapped rice pudding.

The ambiance is lovely, the service was good and the food tasted fine the menu was too limited. You have your choice of two appetizers, two salads, a soup and six entrees. The Kobe beef that was raved about comes in the form of a burger! A tasty burger but not what I had been hoping for. The filet comes with a salad and fries as the side, we had already ordered a salad before dinner. I would have rather seen a few more choices of steaks and some veggies as sides. The wine and bar menus are amazing though.

I don't even know how to start describing the taste of the Snake River Farms Kobe Beef. Its luscious.... For those who likes to eat beef, you have to try this one.. Order them rare(or med. rare) ... Yummy... Just in case anyone never heard of Kobe beef, go to google, type : "Definition: Kobe beef" <--- you will understand why. Oh..by the way, the service and atmosphere are great (but who cares about that, if the food is that great) :) Oh!! If you dont like rare beef, you better dont bother spend the money.

Another fantastic addition to the downtown Seattle restaurant scene. Food is excellent, drinks are some of the best in town in my opinion. Great atmosphere. Great for happy hour. Great bar, friendly staff.

When to Go:
It's just a block west of the Paramount theater--let your server know when the show starts to make curtain call.
Where to Sit:
Booths on the lower level are the best for privacy. Window seats are all-ages, and provide great people-watching.
What to Drink:
The wine list is enormous (more than 400 bottles) and exceptional, but don't miss fun cocktails like the white cosmopolitan, with a swirl of cranberry jello in the glass.
